Definitions
- the present invention relates to a drive-in device for a fastener provided with a shaft, with an ejection channel in which a power-driven tappet is movably guided into a rest position and a drive-in position, with a magazine opening into the ejection channel and with a compartment device arranged between the ejection channel and magazine.
- Driving tools of this type are used to process loose fasteners, such as nails, screws, pins, etc., which are provided in a magazine connected to the driving tool.
- loose fasteners such as nails, screws, pins, etc.
- From DE-OS 25 11 023 it is known to arrange the magazine so inclined against the ejection channel that the nails get into the ejection channel by gravity.
- the central plane of the magazine also intersects the longitudinal axis of the ejection channel, so that the first nail cannot initially get into it.
- This first nail is only pivoted in this way by a compartment plate actuated by a compressed air piston. that it gets into the ejection channel and is then driven into the workpiece by the driving plunger. Partitioning and feeding of the first nail, as well as the stroke of the plunger are achieved by a compressed air sequence control with several valve functions, which take place after the trigger valve is actuated.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to provide a driving tool of the type mentioned at the outset which enables a high impact rate with as few valve functions as possible and can be used in any position.
- This object is achieved according to the invention in that a compartment member which engages between the shafts in a locked position and releases them in a release position and a holding device arranged on the ejection channel are provided.
- the interlocking element engaging between the shafts ensures that the first fastener, even if it is of poor quality, arrives safely in the discharge channel. It is held there by a holding device so that it cannot fall out of the ejection channel even when the driving tool is lifted.
- This enables the use of a simple control for the compartment piston connected to the compartment member, which can advantageously be actuated by the return stroke compressed air for the return stroke of the drive piston connected to the drive tappet.
- a direct connection Between the air reservoir for the return stroke compressed air and the cylinder for the compartment piston, any further valves are superfluous. The function of the driving tool according to the invention is therefore quick and safe.
- the feature according to the invention offers the possibility of also using the driving tool to process fasteners which form a fastener strip, e.g. a nail or screw strip.
- both the fasteners provided loosely in the magazine and the fasteners connected to form a fastener strip are fed to the ejection channel by a magazine slide connected by a spring.
- the driving tool can therefore be used universally both for loose fasteners and for fastener strips and can also be operated properly in all desired directions, i.e. also upwards.
- a cylinder 2 is arranged in a housing 1, in which a pneumatic piston 3 is slidably mounted.
- Percussion piston 3 is held in its rest position shown in Fig. 1 by a rubber-elastic locking device 4.
- a connecting hose 5 and the hollow handle 6 of housing 1 serve to supply the compressed air from a compressed air source, not shown.
- a trigger valve 7 can only be actuated if both a trigger 8 and a workpiece switch 43 are moved from their rest position into their working position.
- a pipe slide 9 which is arranged concentrically with the cylinder 2, is controlled in a known manner so that compressed air can get into the cylinder 2 via the percussion piston 3 and move it into its working position shown in FIG .
- an air reservoir 10 is provided which, during the working stroke, fills with compressed air via a bore 11 in the cylinder 2, which then, after venting the cylinder space located above the percussion piston 3, via the bores 12 under the percussion piston 3 arrives and moves it back to its rest position.
- a cylinder base 13 is connected to the housing 1 by screws and has an ejection channel 14 in which a driving plunger 15 connected to the percussion piston 3 is movably mounted.
- the ejection channel 14 is connected to a guide slot 16 in which a guide shaft 17 of a magazine 18 connected to the cylinder base 13 and handle 6 opens.
- the central plane of the guide shaft 17 runs through the longitudinal axis of the discharge channel 14.
- Loose nails 19 are provided in the magazine 18, the shafts 20 of which are guided in the guide shaft 17 and the heads 21 of which rest on two opposite bearing surfaces 22 (see also FIG. 5) which are inclined to the longitudinal axis of the ejection channel 14. 4 shows, the guide shaft 17 is open to the rear.
- FIG. 2 shows a compartment member 23 tapering towards the front, which in the locked position shown in FIG. 2 engages in the guide slot 16 in such a way that it separates the discharge channel 14 from the guide shaft 17.
- Compartment member 23 is connected to a compartment piston 24 which is movably mounted in a compartment cylinder 25 and is pressed into its locked position by a compression spring 26.
- the cylinder space 27 is connected to the air reservoir 10 through connecting bores 28.
- the compartment cylinder 25 is closed by a screw plug 29 in which a guide pin 30 connected to the compartment piston 24 is mounted. This is provided with an annular groove 31 into which a pawl 32 can be inserted. For this purpose, this is pivotally attached to screw 29 by a screw 33 (see also FIG. 3).
- a holding device 34 in the form of two permanent magnets is provided in the cylinder base 13, which act in the ejection channel 14 and hold a first nail 35 there in the rest position of the tappet 15.
- a cam that resiliently engages in the ejection channel 14 or resilient guide jaws can also be provided as the holding device, which, however, since they are known, are not shown in detail here.
- Exhaust is in the cylinder base 13 above the holding device 34 bores 36 are provided which, after the return stroke of percussion pistons 3, serve to discharge the remaining return stroke compressed air, which could otherwise blow the first nail 35 out of the discharge channel 14.
- a magazine slide 37 movably mounted in the guide shaft 17 is drawn in dash-dotted lines, to which a roller spring 39, which can be rolled up in the magazine 18, is fastened with a rivet 38.
- This roller spring 39 acts on the magazine slide 37 in the direction of the ejection channel 14. With a handle 40 connected to the magazine slide 37, this can be moved towards the end of magazine 18 and hung there in a side pocket 41 (see FIG. 4) so that the Guide shaft 17 is open to the rear.
- the rear open end of the guide shaft 17 of its magazine 18 is first coupled to a dispenser device, not shown, in which the nails are sorted and made available for hanging on the heads.
- a dispenser device not shown
- the nails are sorted and made available for hanging on the heads.
- nails with twisted shafts, screw nails, nail screws, screws or the like can of course also be processed.
- the nails 19 slide on the heads 21 hanging in the guide shaft 17 under the action of gravity to the compartment member 23.
- the magazine slide 37 can now be lifted out of the pocket 41 and inserted into the guide shaft 17, where it holds the nails 19 presses in the direction of the ejection channel 14 under the action of the roller spring 39.
- Compartment member 23 now releases the guide slot 16, in which there are already nails 19, of which the first nail 35 is pressed in the direction of the ejection channel 14 until its head 21 strikes the driving plunger 15. Under the action of the spring-loaded magazine slide 37, however, it assumes with its shaft 20 a position directed away from the discharge channel 14 to the rear.
- the pawl 32 (FIGS. 2 and 3) must be pivoted clockwise so that it engages in the annular groove 31 of the guide pin 30.
- Guide shaft 17 is now permanently open against the discharge channel 14 and it is possible to process nails connected to strips in the known manner.
- the compartment organ 23 can also be actuated in such a way that it is mechanically coupled to the impact ram 15 such that it moves the compartment organ 23 into the release position in its rubbing-in position.
- the magazine 18 is connected to the compartment member 23 with a screwing device known per se, loose screws stored in the magazine 18 can be processed in a simple manner.
- the compartment member 23 can be actuated in such a way that it is displaced into its release position by the drive part of the screwing device when this drive part is moved against the workpiece.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a drive-in device for a fastener provided with a shaft, with an ejection channel in which a power-driven tappet is movably guided into a rest position and a drive-in position, with a magazine opening into the ejection channel and with a compartment device arranged between the ejection channel and magazine.
Driving tools of this type are used to process loose fasteners, such as nails, screws, pins, etc., which are provided in a magazine connected to the driving tool. From DE-OS 25 11 023 it is known to arrange the magazine so inclined against the ejection channel that the nails get into the ejection channel by gravity. The central plane of the magazine also intersects the longitudinal axis of the ejection channel, so that the first nail cannot initially get into it. This first nail is only pivoted in this way by a compartment plate actuated by a compressed air piston. that it gets into the ejection channel and is then driven into the workpiece by the driving plunger. Partitioning and feeding of the first nail, as well as the stroke of the plunger are achieved by a compressed air sequence control with several valve functions, which take place after the trigger valve is actuated.
In this known driving tool, however, due to the multi-stage compressed air sequence control with the necessary valve and piston movements, only a relatively slow stroke sequence can be achieved, which is disadvantageous for efficient production. If the valves are dirty or the lubricating oil is viscous due to the cold, the impact sequence is delayed even more. A further disadvantage is the cost and weight for the additional valves and pistons, as well as the cost of nails of the best quality, which are necessary for the feeder to function properly by pivoting. Because of the feeding of the nails by gravity, it is also not possible to nail up with the known driving tool.
The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a driving tool of the type mentioned at the outset which enables a high impact rate with as few valve functions as possible and can be used in any position.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that a compartment member which engages between the shafts in a locked position and releases them in a release position and a holding device arranged on the ejection channel are provided.
The interlocking element engaging between the shafts ensures that the first fastener, even if it is of poor quality, arrives safely in the discharge channel. It is held there by a holding device so that it cannot fall out of the ejection channel even when the driving tool is lifted. This enables the use of a simple control for the compartment piston connected to the compartment member, which can advantageously be actuated by the return stroke compressed air for the return stroke of the drive piston connected to the drive tappet. A direct connection Between the air reservoir for the return stroke compressed air and the cylinder for the compartment piston, any further valves are superfluous. The function of the driving tool according to the invention is therefore quick and safe.
The feature according to the invention, to determine the compartment organ in its release position, offers the possibility of also using the driving tool to process fasteners which form a fastener strip, e.g. a nail or screw strip.
According to the invention, both the fasteners provided loosely in the magazine and the fasteners connected to form a fastener strip are fed to the ejection channel by a magazine slide connected by a spring. The driving tool can therefore be used universally both for loose fasteners and for fastener strips and can also be operated properly in all desired directions, i.e. also upwards.

As shown in FIG. 1, a
A trigger valve 7 can only be actuated if both a trigger 8 and a
For the return stroke of the percussion piston 3, an
As shown in FIG. 1, a holding device 34 in the form of two permanent magnets is provided in the
To operate the driving tool according to the invention, the rear open end of the
If the driving tool connected with the connecting
If trigger lever 8 is now released, then the interior of
If the
The
If the
