Ein generelles Problem von Langhaarscherteilen besteht darin, daß ihre beiden Schneidelemente, der Scherkamm und die Scherklinge, über ihre ganze Länge einwandfrei unter möglichst gleichmäßigem Anpreßdruck aneinanderliegen müssen, ohne daß dadurch das Langhaarscherteil zu schwergängig wird, so daß die notwendigerweise auftretenden Reibkräfte mit möglichst geringen Antriebskräften überwunden werden können. Zu diesem Zweck läßt man die Andruckfeder nicht mehr direkt auf die bewegliche Scherklinge einwirken sondern über den eingangs genannten Andrückhebel, mit dessen Hilfe jetzt bei Bedarf die Kraft der Andrückfedern so umgelenkt werden kann, daß sie in Bezug auf die Funktion des Langhaarscherteiles in optimaler Position und Richtung in die Scherklinge eingeleitet wird. Unvermeidliche Reibarbeit des Langhaarscherteils kann auf diese Weise dahin verlagert werden, wo die Scherarbeit geleistet wird, und die Reibung kann dort geringer gehalten werden, wo es nicht auf ein Andrücken der Scherklinge gegen den Scherkamm ankommt, z.B. an der Klingenrückseite. Auch bei dieser Konstruktion hat der Andrückhebel zwei Funktionen zu erfüllen, nämlich Andrücken und Bewegen der Scherklinge, und konstruktionsbedingt besteht der Nachteil, daß ein erheblicher Anteil der vom Motor aufzubringenden Energie zum Betrieb des Langhaarscherteils als Reibung in den umfangsgeschlossenen Lagern bei der axialen Antriebsbewegung des Andrückhebels und darüberhinaus auch bei der Überwindung des Beigewiderstandes der freien Arme der beiden Haarnadelfedern verlorengeht. Durch diese Ausgestaltung kann der Andrückhebel mit sehr geringen Reibverlusten die Andrückkraft der Andrückfeder auf die Scherklinge ubertragen.
