Description

The invention relates to a sewing machine with a fabric transport device and a needle bar moved up and down, which is mounted in a guide link driven to and fro by a drive device.

It is known to secure a seam against opening by preferably strengthening the ends of it by means of bolts or by means of stitch compaction. A bolt has the advantage of greater strength compared to stitch compaction, but it is more expensive to manufacture. While stitch condensing only requires sewing in one direction with a very small stitch length, a change of direction is required to sew a bartack. When sewing a bartack, it must be possible to sew forward and backward. For this purpose, the fabric feed device and, in the case of sewing machines with needle feed, also the guide link for the needle bar must be given more complicated movements than is necessary for sewing conventional fastening seams per se. It is also disadvantageous in the case of larger sewing parts and those which pass through a guide apparatus before being sewn together if they have to be moved back and forth to secure the seam ends. The invention seeks to remedy these deficiencies.

The invention is therefore based on the technical object to provide a sewing machine with a device for seam locking, which does not have the deficiencies mentioned.

The invention solves this technical problem by the features defined in claim 1; Subclaims relate to advantageous embodiments of the invention. The invention is described below in the form of an embodiment and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

Die Zeichnungen zeigen

  • Fig. 1 im wesentlichen den Kopf einer erfindungsgemäß ausgebildeten Zweinadel-Nähmaschine mit Blick auf die Stirnseite, mit einer Stoffklemme als Vorschubmittel für das Nähgut;
  • Fig. 2 im wesentlichen den Kopf der Nähmaschine gemäß Fig. 1, jedoch in der Seitenansicht;
The drawings show
  • Fig. 1 essentially the head of a two-needle sewing machine designed according to the invention with a view of the front side, with a cloth clamp as feed means for the sewing material;
  • FIG. 2 essentially the head of the sewing machine according to FIG. 1, but in a side view;
  • Fig. 3 different versions of longitudinal bars generated with this sewing machine.

The reference number 1 denotes the head of a two-needle sewing machine of a known type, which has a fabric clamp 7 of conventional construction for clamping and guiding a mostly two-part work piece 2, which can only be moved in the sewing material feed direction NV during sewing, but can also stand still. The drive for the up and down movement of the needles 3 and 3 'takes place in a known manner via the arm shaft crank 4 which is only visible in FIG. 1 and is not essential to the invention. The needles 3 and 3 'cooperate with loop catchers, not shown, to form parallel straight stitch seams - lockstitch or chain stitch - in the usual way, so that, for example, a prepared binding strip in the pocket area of a trouser cut can be sewn on with two parallel fastening seams and after the incision Pocket opening of the binding material is sewn on both sides. Here, the seam ends - as shown below - are particularly long-lasting secured against opening.

To produce longitudinal bars at the beginning and end of the fastening seams, the needle bars 8 and 8 'with the needles 3 and 3' are pivotally mounted in a needle bar guide. For this purpose, a guide link 5 is suspended in a pendulum manner on a swivel pin 6 fixedly attached in the sewing machine housing 9, so that the needles 3 and 3 ', in addition to their up and down movement during the usual stitch formation, also perform a pendulum oscillation and longitudinal bars for the seam end securing can be sewn. The pendulum drive of the guide link 5 is done by a single-acting compressed air cylinder 10, which is firmly attached to the sewing machine housing 9 in a vertical arrangement with conventional fastening means. The free, outward end of its piston rod 10 'is articulated with an angle lever 11. At the connection point between its approximately horizontally directed longer lever arm and its downwardly directed lever arm there is an articulated eye 11 '. The articulated eye 11 'is pushed onto an axis 12 which are fastened in sprues 9' or 9 "of the sewing machine housing 9. The angle lever 11 can accordingly be pivoted counterclockwise about the axis 12 by extending the piston rod 10 'after it has been acted upon by its compressed air cylinder 10 , so that the shorter, downward lever of the angle lever 11 disengages to the right (FIG. 1). The angle lever 11 and the guide link 5 are connected to one another via the lug 13. The piston rod 10 'which is extended due to the action of the compressed air cylinder 10 is no longer at The air pressure is retracted by the return spring (not shown in the case of single-acting compressed air cylinders), which is transmitted via the lever linkage consisting of the angle lever 11 and the bracket 13. A drive movement is transmitted to the oscillating guide link 5.

The control of the compressed air cylinder 10 is done with known means depending on the position of the needles 3 and 3 ', since the same must not be in the fabric when executing their pendulum movement.

For this purpose, the compressed air cylinder 10 is connected via the compressed air working line A to an electromagnetically controlled 3/2-way valve 15, which in the non-excited state of the Magnets occupies the upper position according to the symbol representation - between Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. Then the compressed air working line A is connected to the vent connection R, so that the compressed air cylinder 10 is now unloaded and its piston rod 10 '(FIG. 1) is in the retracted state. The needles 3, 3 'assume their extreme left position (Fig. 1). If the electromagnet of the 3/2-way valve 15 is energized, it switches over to the working position shown as a lower position in the symbolic drawing. The compressed air working line A is now connected to the compressed air network connection P and receives a compressed air pulse from a compressed air source, which acts on the compressed air cylinder 10 and extends the piston rod 10 '. The needle bar frame 5 pivots - as already mentioned - from the extreme left position shown (Fig. 1) to the right position. The excitation of the electromagnet of the 3/2-way valve 15 is expediently carried out by a device which detects the up or down position of the needle 3, 3 ', e.g. B. controlled by the known needle positioning device.

With this sewing machine designed according to the invention, 5 seam end longitudinal bartacks in various designs can be produced by appropriate control of the material transport device and pivoting of the guide link.

Fig. 3 shows examples of such longitudinal bars attached at the beginning and end of a seam, in the drawing the rows of stitches, which are in reality very close to one another, are drawn next to one another for the purpose of clear and easily understandable representation.

17, 17', 18, 18' und 19, 19' sind Längsriegel unterschiedlicher Art, die bei stillstehender Stoffklemme lediglich durch Verschwenkung der Führungskulisse hergestellt werden und sich durch Variation des Riegelanfanges und unterschiedliche Schwenkbewegungen der Nadelstangenführung auszeichnen.16, 16 'is a longitudinal bar produced by three small forward steps of the workpiece clamp and a full backward pivoting movement of the guide link 5. 17, 17 ', 18, 18' and 19, 19 'are longitudinal bolts of different types, which are only produced by pivoting the guide link when the material clamp is at a standstill and are characterized by varying the start of the bolt and different pivoting movements of the needle bar guide.

The inventive design of the sewing machine offers, in addition to the recorded exemplary embodiments, a large number of possibilities for carrying out a particularly tight seam end securing with a reasonable technical outlay. Crossbars can also be created by swiveling the guide link accordingly. Needle transport can also be used advantageously within the scope of the invention.
