Abstract

1. A straightening machine for metal sheets and strips, comprising an upper and a lower series of straightening rollers supported in each case on a roller frame (4, 18) and a plurality of back-up rollers (10, 30) arranged side by side along the length of the straightening rollers (5, 22) and in which, in the case of one series of straightening rollers, back-up rollers (10) associated with a plurality of straightening rollers (5) and following in succession in each case in the direction of travel of the metal sheets are mounted on bearing supports (16), which extend transversely to the straightening rollers (5), are directed at right angles to the plane of the metal sheets and which are supported by displaceable wedges (12), characterized in that the upper and lower straightening rollers (5, 22) are movably mounted on the upper or lower roller frame (4, 18) rigidly connected to a stand cross-member (2 or 3 respectively) and are adjustable relative to one another against the force of spring elements (9 or 23 respectively) associated with their bearings (6 or 21 respectively), and, in the case of the other series of straightening rollers, the back-up rollers (30) associated in each case with individual straightening rollers (22) are mounted on a respective vertically guided support cam (29) extending parallel to the respective straightening roller (22), the support cams (29) having inclined undersides which are adjustably supported in each case on a longitudinally displaceable wedge (25) orientated parallel to the straightening rollers (22).

Description

  • The invention relates to a straightening machine for sheets and strips with an upper and a lower row of straightening rollers and with a plurality of support rollers arranged alongside one another over the length of the straightening rollers, successive support rollers of a plurality of straightening rollers being mounted in the direction of travel of the sheets on bearing supports which are guided perpendicularly to the sheet plane and are supported by sliding wedges.
  • In a known straightening machine, the upper straightening rollers are mounted on an upper frame, which is connected in a height-adjustable manner by means of driven spindles to vertical bars of the machine frame. The lower straightening rollers are mounted on a subframe which is pivotally mounted on both sides with curved surfaces on saddles guided between the vertical bars. The saddles are supported in the frame with inclined surfaces on horizontally displaceable wedges. Each of the upper and lower straightening rollers is supported on their bales by several support rollers. The support rollers of several straightening rollers, which are arranged successively in the direction of flow, are each mounted as a set on bearing supports. The bearing brackets are individually supported by adjustable wedges on the upper frame or on the lower frame. The bending of the straightening rollers can be adjusted jointly by separately adjusting the height of each support roller set. By lifting and lowering in a straight line or by swiveling the lower frame, the lower straightening rollers can be brought together into the position corresponding to the required straightening gap.
  • The construction of this leveler with height-adjustable upper and lower frames requires an elaborate design with long bars. The machine rigidity is very low due to the length of the bars and their connection to the upper frame via spindles. Another disadvantage is that, despite complex adjustment devices, a separate adjustment of the straightening gap between two straightening rollers is not possible and therefore the straightening gap cannot be varied as desired.
  • The object of the invention is to provide a structurally simpler straightening machine in a more compact and therefore more rigid construction, in which the straightening rollers can be bent as well as set against one another under load. In addition, a separate adjustment of the straightening gap between individual opposing straightening rollers should be possible.
  • This object is achieved in that the upper and lower straightening rollers are movably mounted on an upper or lower roller mill connected to a stand cross member and can be adjusted against the force of spring elements, on which the bearing supports are also guided perpendicular to the sheet plane, and in that support rollers assigned to each straightening roller row are each supported on a vertically guided bearing comb which extends parallel to the straightening rollers and which are adjustably supported with an inclined underside on a wedge which is longitudinally displaceable parallel to the straightening rollers.
  • In this way, simple, reliable adjustment devices create a diverse possibility for adjustment against the straightening pressure and for bending the straightening rollers.
  • In addition, it is possible for a series of straightening rolls, the adjustment of the gap between individual SE opposite straightening rolls. Elaborate adjustment devices such as spindles and swivel saddles are saved. This reduces the height of the straightening machine and significantly improves machine rigidity.
  • According to a further feature of the invention, the bearings of the straightening rolls are held by spring buffers attached to the roll mill in the sense of an opening of the straightening roll set. As a result, the straightening rollers are in constant contact with the support rollers, their position and bending contour being determined by the position of the support rollers.
  • The bearings of the straightening rollers can also be accommodated in a guide on the roller mill lying side by side.
  • Both the adjusting wedges arranged transversely to the straightening rollers and the adjusting wedges arranged parallel to the straightening rollers can be displaceable by hydraulic cylinders, the action of which can be regulated individually or together.
  • Another advantage is seen according to the invention in that the support rollers assigned to the individual straightening rollers are mounted on the bearing supports or the bearing combs in such a way that their axes are shifted alternately in and opposite to the direction of travel of the sheet from the vertical axis plane of the straightening rollers. As a result, the straightening rollers are guided in a defined manner in the horizontal direction.

  • The frame of the straightening machine shown consists of two stands 1 anchored to the foundation, which are rigidly connected by an upper cross member 2 and a lower cross member 3. An upper roller mill 4 is fastened to the upper crossmember 2 and extends into the window openings of the stand 1. Three upper straightening rolls 5 are mounted with their bearings 6 adjacent to one another between guides 7, 8 located in the area of the stand fixed on the upper roll mill 4. The bearings 6 of the upper straightening rollers 5 are connected to piston rods of spring buffers 9 attached to the roller frame 4. Each upper straightening roller 5 is supported on its bale by a plurality of support rollers 10 arranged side by side.
  • The upper roller mill 4 has guides 11 which extend transversely to the straightening rollers 5 and in which transverse wedges 12 are received. Each cross wedge 12 is connected via a coupling 13 to the piston rod of a hydraulic cylinder 14 which is fastened to a support bridge 15. In the guide openings 11, bearing supports 16 are further guided such that they can move vertically and bear against the transverse wedges 12 with inclined surfaces. The bearing supports 16 are provided with end plates 17 which are guided on the outer surfaces of the upper roller mill 4. In each case three support rollers 10 of the straightening rollers 5, which follow one another in the direction of flow of the straightening material, are mounted on a bearing bracket 16.
  • The spring buffers 9 bring about a constant contact of the bearing supports 16 with the straightening rollers 5 and the support rollers 10 Cross wedges 12. However, special holding means can also be arranged on the upper roller mill 4 for this purpose.
  • The entire upper straightening roller row 5 can be adjusted vertically by moving all cross wedges 12 together. To achieve a bend in the upper straightening rollers 5, the transverse wedges 12 can be moved into different positions by acting separately on individual hydraulic cylinders 14, so that the upper support rollers 10 form an arcuate system for the upper straightening rollers 5.
  • A lower roller mill 18 is mounted on the lower cross member 3 and has lateral guides 19, 20 in the area of the stator openings for 4 bearings 21 each of lower straightening rollers 22. Each of the bearings 21 is connected to a spring buffer 23 fastened to the lower roller mill 18 and held non-positively on the roller mill 18. The lower roller mill 18 is provided with guides 24 for longitudinal wedges 25 running parallel to the roller axes. A plurality of hydraulic cylinders 27 are mounted on a bracket 26, the piston rods of which are fastened on the end face to the longitudinal wedges 25 by individual pieces 28 for their individual adjustment. On the inclined surfaces of the longitudinal wedges 25 there are bearing combs 29 with an inclined underside, on which lower support rollers 30 for a lower straightening roller 22 are each mounted.
  • By pushing in the longitudinal wedges 25, the lower support rollers 30 are pressed against the lower straightening rollers 22, whereby each individual straightening roller 22 can be set against the holding force of the spring buffer 23 in the direction of the upper straightening rollers 5. When pulling the longitudinal wedges 25 through the hydraulic cylinders 27, the spring buffers 23 and Lowering the lower straightening rollers 22 and support rollers 30 by gravity. When the hydraulic cylinders 27 are acted upon separately, the straightening gap between two straightening rollers 5 and 22 can be set independently of the straightening gap between the other straightening rollers. By acting on the hydraulic cylinders 27 together, all of the lower straightening rollers 22 can be adjusted jointly to open the straightening gap.

1.
