Description

The invention relates to a frame profile for the lower frame cross member or the threshold of at least one sliding sash with at least one running rail and with an inner element facing the interior and a pluggable connected outer element, the inner element consisting of a material of poorer thermal conductivity than the outer element. A frame profile of this type has already become known, for example, from DE-U 7008627. Its outer element is preferably made of light metal, while its inner element is made of non-metallic material. The inner element is designed in the manner of a cover rail and, in the use position of the frame produced from such frame profiles, is slipped onto the outer element in the horizontal direction. The fastening of a running rail is not provided for in this frame profile, but it could be attached to the outer element. However, since rails are also made of metal for structural reasons, the advantage that would result from the manufacture of the frame profile from a metallic outer and a non-metallic inner element would be lost in this case.

Mounting the running rail on the inner element is not recommended for two reasons. On the one hand, an attached metallic running rail would form a cold bridge over its inner longitudinal edge and thus at least to a greater extent cancel out the mentioned advantage of the two-part frame profile design, and on the other hand the selected connection between the outer and the inner element would be used to absorb the forces that occur especially with heavy sliding sashes not suitable.

The object of the invention is consequently seen in developing a frame profile of the type described in such a way that condensation does not form on the inside of the frame even when using a metallic running rail and the connection of the two profile parts is able to withstand the loads that occur.

To achieve this object, it is proposed according to the invention that the frame profile is designed in accordance with the preamble of claim 1 in accordance with the characterizing part of this claim. Since the outer element engages under the inner element and the weight of the sash is transferred to the inner element via the running rail, this sash weight causes the inner element to be pressed against the outer element in the desired manner, thereby ensuring a good securing of its connection. Furthermore, a metallic connection to the outer element is prevented by fastening the running rail to the inner element, so that the heat from the running rail is not passed on to the outer element. As a result, the formation of a cold bridge or the tendency to form condensation water on the inside of the running rail does not occur at this point. However, because the running track must be attached to the top of the inner element, its internal longitudinal edge could give rise to condensation water if it were directly exposed to the warm indoor air. In order to prevent this danger, the inner side of the running rail is largely covered by the inner element. An additional cover is provided by the wing, so that the inside air can practically not get to the running rail. The requirements placed on the frame profile are thus fully met.

A further development of the invention provides that at least one, but in particular two holding bars arranged at a lateral distance and extending in the longitudinal direction of the outer element engage in an associated holding slot, the holding bars being on the outer element and the holding slots on the inner element or vice versa. The walls forming each holding slot also represent support elements which contribute to the stiffening of the inner element and increase its static load-bearing capacity. Since this connection, seen in the position of use of the frame profile, locks parallel to the plane of the frame and not perpendicular to it as in the previously known frame profile, it easily withstands the loads that occur, for example due to wind pressure, and there is no risk that the forces acting on the frame can solve the connection between the outer and inner element. On the contrary, this connection is held together by the weight of the sliding sash. Whether a single or double plug connection is provided depends on the one hand on the expected load and on the other hand on the dimensions of the sliding sash. If the connection is tight enough, it is also sufficient for a perfect securing in the longitudinal direction of the retaining strips.

In a further development of the invention, it is provided that each of the two holding strips has a thickening, in particular at its free end, the thickening pointing towards one another and each being engaged behind by a bead of the holding slot, the bead resting on an elastically flexible, in each case one slot flank forming wall of the inner element. The assembly of these two parts is relatively easy, but they are difficult to separate afterwards, which is very desirable in terms of a good connection.

Another embodiment of a frame profile with an additional field attached parallel to the sliding sash is that an attachment is parallel to the running rail, at a lateral distance from its longitudinal edge pointing outwards profile is mounted on the outer element, on which the additional field is supported. The attachment profile can be designed and dimensioned according to its purpose and load. The same applies to the choice of materials. The space between the attachment profile and the inner element with the running rail is bridged in a further embodiment of the invention by means of a filler. The area in question also belongs to the cold zone, and the filler therefore has the task of avoiding condensation. It prevents air circulation in the area mentioned.

Another preferred variant of the invention is seen in that a seal is placed in front of the outer surface of the inner element, which extends from the running rail to the outer element. This is preferably a strip-shaped seal which can be inserted into a corresponding groove or fastened, in particular glued, to one of the parts surrounding it, for example the inner element. However, it is even more advantageous if this seal is produced in one piece with the inner element as a so-called hard-soft combination. According to a development of the invention, the filling piece consists of a profile rail which is supported on the one hand on the attachment profile and on the other hand at least on the seal. It is very advantageous if the longitudinal edge of the attachment profile facing away from the seal is designed in the manner of a pressure lip in order on the one hand to connect tightly to the attachment profile and on the other hand to apply the necessary contact pressure in the area of the seal.

Another variant of the invention provides in this connection that the filler consists of plastic and its longitudinal edges or areas adjacent to the attachment profile on the one hand and to the running rail and / or the inner element on the other hand consist of soft elastic plastic, while the rest of the filler consists of stiffer plastic is made. Accordingly, this is a profile in a so-called hard-soft combination. The hard plastic ensures permanent dimensional stability, while the softer one ensures that it fits tightly and seals well, even if the sealing surface or edge is not quite level.

Another embodiment of the invention provides that the filler consists of foam. As a result, it is easy to manufacture, inexpensive, light in weight, and highly effective for the intended purpose.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, the attachment profile consists of load-bearing plastic, and it is designed in particular as a U-profile standing on the legs. To enlarge the contact surface, the two U-legs can be spread or bent, preferably bent inwards. In this context, it is very advantageous that at least the outer U-leg is sealed off from the outer element by means of a seal which is in particular embedded in the end face of this leg. It prevents the ingress of water and dirt into the interior of the attachment profile if it does not sit completely tight at any point.

Another variant of the invention provides that the additional field is designed as a sliding sash and the top section is provided with a running rail, in particular is made in one piece therewith from aluminum.

According to an expedient development of the invention, the outer element is designed as a so-called pipe sleeper and the inner element is designed essentially angularly, with its vertical leg overlapping the inwardly facing surface of the pipe sleeper. This gives a structurally stable design and prevents condensation from forming on the inside of the pipe sleeper or the outer element passed under the running rail, i.e. the formation of a cold bridge does not occur. For the rest, for example in the case of sliding sashes, at least the end of the pipe sleeper lying inward of the room and thus also at least the vertical leg of the inner element is located below the floor level. This also contributes to achieving the desired goal.

According to another embodiment of the invention, it is proposed that the outer element be designed as a so-called frame cover for a wooden sleeper.

In the drawing, two exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown on the basis of vertical longitudinal central sections through a frame profile designed as a lower frame cross member.

The frame profile according to the invention consists of the inner element 1 or 2 and the outer element 3 or 4. In Fig. 1, the outer element 3 is designed as a so-called frame cover and screwed to a threshold 5. In contrast, the outer element 4 (FIG. 2) is a so-called pipe sleeper. The latter and the frame cover are made of aluminum, and are preferably sections of extruded profiles. The inner element 1 of the first exemplary embodiment extends the outer element 3 towards the interior of the room and is particularly flush with the longitudinal edge 6 of the threshold 5 facing the interior of the room. In contrast to this, the inner element 2 in the second exemplary embodiment overlaps the longitudinal edge 7 of the outer element 4 with its downwardly directed angle leg 8. A plug connection 9 is advantageously provided in the region of the lower end of the longitudinal edge 7. It can be formed, for example, by a hook-shaped extension 10 of the outer element 4 with the leg pointing upward, on the one hand, and a receiving slot 11 of the angle leg 8, which slot widens in particular on the inside.

Any inner core made from a material with poor conductivity, such as PVC ment is held on its outer element by means of a plug connection 12. For this purpose, each outer element 3, 4 has two parallel, laterally spaced holding strips 13 and 14, each of which carries a bulge 15 and 16 on the inside at their free, upward-facing end. The holding strips 13, 14 are inserted in an associated holding slot 17 or 18, each thickening 15 or 16 engaging behind a bead 19 or 20 at the mouth edge of the associated holding slot 17 or 18. To enable locking, the walls 21 and 22, which form one of the two slot flanks, can be deflected elastically. The plug-in connection can be produced without great effort, but it is subsequently difficult to release. This ensures a firm hold of the inner element 1, 2 on the associated Au-Benelement 3, 4.

2 abgedeckt.A running rail 23 for a sliding leaf 24 indicated by dash-dotted lines is mounted on the inner element 1 or 2. The attachment can be carried out with the aid of screws 25 which are screwed into corresponding slots or bores in the inner element 1 or 2. The tracks 23, like the outer elements 3, 4, consist of metal, in particular aluminum. In order to prevent the formation of perspiration on the inside of the room in the region of the running rail 23, the longitudinal side 26 of the running rail 23 pointing towards the inside of the room is covered by an upwardly facing strip of the inner element 1 or 2.

An additional field is provided parallel to the sliding leaf 24, which is designed as a sliding leaf 27 in the exemplary embodiment of FIG. 1 and as a fixed field 28 in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2. A top section 29 or 30 is mounted on the outer element 3 or 4 parallel to the running rail 23 and at a lateral distance from its longitudinal edge pointing outwards. The additional field 27 or 28 is based on this. The space between this attachment profile 29, 30 and the inner element 1 or 2 with the running rail 23 attached to it is bridged with the aid of a filler 31 or 32.

The filler 32 consists of a profile rail with a substantially U-shaped cross section, which stands on its two U-legs. The U-leg on the right in FIG. 2 has an approximately S-shaped shape. The U center piece is extended towards the attachment profile 29. Plastic is used as the material for the filler 32, in a so-called hard-soft combination. In this case, the extension bar 33, which is approximately angular in cross section, is made, for example, of soft plastic in order to nestle tightly against the associated wall 34 of the attachment profile 29. At the same time, the filler 32 is pressed against a strip-shaped seal 35, so that a good seal is also achieved on the opposite side, which prevents the passage of air to the portion of the outer element 3, 4 underneath. The seal 35 has a strip-like shape, and it is inserted between the leg of the running rail 23 located above it and an upwardly projecting, strip-shaped extension of the outer element 3 or 4, the parts mentioned being flush with one another on the outside. As already explained, the seal 35 can also be produced in one piece with the inner element 2 as a hard-soft combination, with the seal as a soft component. In Fig. 2, the convex part of the right U-leg of the filler 32 abuts the seal 35. The corner 36 located above can also be made of soft plastic, while the remaining parts are preferably injection molded from hard plastic.

The top section 29 has a substantially U-shaped cross section, and it is expediently made of plastic. For example, it can be inserted into a groove 37 of the fixed field 28 which is open at the bottom. The two U-legs are angled inwards, the outer being provided with a seal 38 which is expediently O-shaped in cross section. This guarantees the penetration of moisture and drafts under the attachment profile 29 even in the case of certain unevennesses of the abutting surfaces, which can arise in particular during installation.

In Fig. 1, the filler 31 is preferably made of foam rubber. The attachment profile 30 is made in one piece with a running rail 41 made of metal, preferably aluminum. It has an approximately U-shaped cross-section with reinforcement angles attached on both sides. The latter form counter surfaces for sealing strips 42, 43 embedded in the sliding sash 27 or their sealing lips protruding outwards.

Because the inner element 1, 2 projects beyond the outer element 3, 4 towards the interior of the room and its thermal conductivity is significantly lower than that of the outer element, heat flow from the warm interior is effectively prevented or made more difficult. Due to the elimination of the cold bridge previously used in aluminum pipe sleepers or frame covers, the formation of condensation water in the warmer interior is also avoided. Nevertheless, in both of the configurations described, this frame profile can easily withstand considerable loads without the installation requiring unreasonable measures. In addition, this frame profile ensures the use of the usual corner connecting parts. In the case of use with doors, the walk-in parts can easily be made of aluminum, so that the profile is not more sensitive in this respect than previously known frame profiles. In this context, it is expressly pointed out that the walls 21 and 22 of the horizontal angle leg of the inner element 2 not only as plug-in connection elements, but at the same time also as a support element serve.
