Abstract
Se divulgan catalizadores dispuestos a oxidar compuestos de azufre y sistemas y metodos para usar estos catalizadores para efectuar la remocion de azufre de aceite crudo y destilados de aceite crudo. El catalizador se dispone con una fraccion de titanilo que sirve para coordinar selectivamente los compuestos de azufre y afectar su oxidacion. El titanilo puede estar enlazado en un polimero o en la superficie de un polimero o en la superficie o en los poros de un soporte inorganico. Los compuestos de azufre oxidado resultantes son facilmente separados del aceite crudo inicial o las corrientes destiladas de aceite crudo mediante tecnicas tradicionales de separacion dispuestas como se describe en los sistemas y metodos descritos.
