Abstract
Un operador de una torre de servicio de perforación puede recuperar y monitorear una visualización de los datos en la posición de la polea durante la inserción y retiro de varillas y tubería. El operador ingresa en el sistema un rango de altura mínimo y máximo dentro del que desea que la polea opere. La información se proporciona al operador en tiempo real en una visualización graficada, relativa a la posición máxima y mínima ingresada por el operador para asistir a éste en la evaluación de la posición de la polea previo a la posición de cima o de suelo. Adicionalmente, los métodos son provistos para evaluar las actividades desarrolladas por la torre en base a la evaluación de los datos de la posición de la polea, para así supervisar la operación de una torre desde una ubicación remota. Además, la tecnología permite al operador o supervisor determinar la velocidad de la polea durante las operaciones, mediante la evaluación de los datos de la velocidad del codificador provistos por un diagrama de velocidad del codificador.
