Abstract

El tabaco se trata con una cantidad efectiva de uno o más gases bactericidas antes o durante la cura para reducir o eliminar las bacterias, actividad bacteriana y/o actividad fungal de las hojas de tabaco, y/o para reducir o eliminar la cantidad de nitrosamina específica del tabaco o endotoxina bacteriana en hojas de tabaco curadas. El tabaco curado es tratado con una cantidad efectiva de uno o más gases bactericidas antes o durante el almacenamiento para reducir o eliminar bacterias, actividad bacteriana y/o actividad fungal del tabaco curado.
