В изобретении раскрыты антрахинондиоксимы и их производные для применения в лечении заболеваний, в частности рака, например рака толстой кишки и колоректального рака. Кроме того, в изобретении представлены способы синтеза упомянутых производных. Также описаны композиции этих соединений и метаболиты указанных соединений, а также их применение в модулировании генов.
