Изобретение касается предшественника полиаминэпигалогенгидриновой смолы, включающего N-галогенгидриновые группы, присоединенные к полиаминовой основной цепи, и 3-гидроксиазетидиниевые группы, присоединенные к полиаминовой основной цепи, указанный предшественник смолы имеет содержание твердых веществ в диапазоне от 25 до 95 мас.% и молярное соотношение N-галогенгидриновых групп и 3-гидроксиазетидиниевых групп в диапазоне от 1:2 до 100:1, как установленоС-ЯМР. Изобретение также касается способа получения предшественника полиаминэпигалогенгидриновой смолы, способа получения композиции, включающей полиаминэпигалогенгидриновую смолу, и способа производства бумаги.
