Abstract

Изобретение относится к способу снижения содержания в винилароматическом полимере остаточных веществ, где указанные остаточные вещества включают, по существу, неполимеризованный винилароматический мономер, в котором винилароматический полимер в расплавленном состоянии приводят в контакт с твёрдым порошкообразным веществом, способным катализировать алкилирование указанного остаточного винилароматического мономера в винилароматическом полимере. Преимуществом настоящего изобретения является резкое снижение неполимеризованного винилароматического мономера в винилароматическом полимере без образования нового остаточного вещества и без образования окрашенного винилароматического полимера. Настоящее изобретение также относится к указанному винилароматическому полимеру, имеющему низкое содержание остаточных веществ.
