Abstract
В заявке описаны диплоидное растение арбуза-опылителя и способ максимального повышения урожая триплоидных растений арбуза на акр. Описано растение, представляющее собой опылитель с улучшенными характеристиками, которое является гибридным сортом, свободно опыляемым сортом или синтетическим сортом, характеризуется признаком наличия небольших листьев и плода с хрупкой кожурой, которая разламывается при перезревании плода или ломается при приложении сравнительно небольших физических усилий. Описано растение арбуза, предлагаемое в изобретении, которое предпочтительно отличается также более продолжительным периодом цветения, что приводит к увеличению количества цветков триплоидного растения арбуза, которые опыляются и дают плоды. Описан способ получения плода бессеменного арбуза, заключающийся в том, что получают диплоидное растение арбуза - опылитель, увеличивают продолжительность периода цветения растения-опылителя, в результате чего уменьшается количество таких растений, необходимое для опыления одного и того же количества триплоидных растений арбуза, и максимально уменьшают количество растений арбуза - опылителей на поле, на котором высажены триплоидные растения арбуза.Отчет о международном поиске был опубликован 2004.07.29.
