In the invention a bioavailable form of microelement additives to feed mixtures for animals and birds includes a group of microelements containing manganese, iron, copper, cobalt and zinc, or each of the aforementioned microelements individually with asparaginic acid, in which the molar ratio of aspartic acid to metal is from 1:1 to 2:1, optimum microelement consumption rate in the compound with asparaginic acid is 5-10% of applicable rates in the form of sulphates of said metals.
