Claims (14)
1. Lungevolumenreduktionsindretning (900) til at forbedre en vejrtrækningseffektivitet af en patient med en luftvej, hvilken indretning omfatter: en proksimal ende (912) og en distal ende (914); og som har en første konfiguration og en anden konfiguration; hvor den første konfiguration svarer til en leveringskonfiguration; den anden konfiguration svarer til en præimplantations- eller postimplantationskonfiguration, hvor den implanterbare indretning er konfigureret til at blive omformet i en postimplantationskonfiguration til at udøve en kompressionskraft på lungevæv til at gøre lungevævet, som er i kontakt med indretningen, mere krum, hvor den implanterbare indretning inkluderer mindst et proksimalt spiralformet afsnit (902) og et distalt spiralformet afsnit (904) med et overgangsafsnit (906) anbragt derimellem; kendetegnet ved, at det proksimale og distale spiralformede afsnit omfatter et højrevendt spiralformet afsnit og et venstrevendt spiralformet afsnit; og hvor det distale spiralformede afsnit (904) omfatter flere sløjfer end det proksimale spiralformede afsnit (902), når den implanterbare indretning er i den anden konfiguration.
2. Lungevolumenreduktionsindretningen ifølge krav 1, hvor den implanterbare indretning (900) yderligere omfatter en kappe (916), som dækker en del af den implanterbare indretning, hvilken kappe er konfigureret til at reducere indretningserosion i luftvejen efter anvendelse af indretningen.
3. Lungevolumenreduktionsindretningen ifølge krav 2, hvor kappen (916) dækker de mindst to spiralformede afsnit (902, 904) og overgangsafsnittet (906) anbragt mellem de mindst to spiralformede afsnit.
