Abstract

1. A vehicle, in particular a rail vehicle, having a head portion (1) which comprises a driver's cab (2) located at the level of the passenger space, a door (3) in the front wall and a tunnel-shaped passage (5) which is connected to a transition arrangement (4) and can be transferred into the region of the head part (1) remote from the door (3) in the front wall - first end position - when the vehicle is used as front vehicle, and onto a frame (3a) of the open door (3) in the front wall - second end position - when the vehicle is used as coupled vehicle, characterised in that the door (3) in the front wall has, on the driver's cab side, a driver's console (8a) as a section of a driver's table (8) provided with operating and control devices, this driver's console (8a) lying outside the passage (5) situated in its second end position when the door (3) in the front wall is open toward the driver's cab (2).
