Claims (12)
1. Modificeret Trass, som har en aktiv overflade ifølge BET på s ca. 60 m2/g og kan opnås ved en fremgangsmåde, der omfatter følgende trin: (a) Trass bringes i kontakt med en blanding afvand og overfladeaktivt middel og/eller syrer for at opløse komponenter i Trass; og (b) de opløste komponenter fjernes fra Trass.
2. Modificeret Trass ifølge krav 1, hvor den Trass, der anvendes til fremstilling deraf, er afledt af Bavarian Trass eller Rheinischer Trass, Trass fra Schwarzwald (Tyskland) eller Trass fra Eifel (Frankrig).
3. Modificeret Trass ifølge krav 1 eller krav 2, hvor den modificerede Trass har en aktiv overflade på > ca. 80 m2/g, fortrinsvis > ca. 100 m2/g, mere foretrukket > ca. 120 m2/g, endnu mere foretrukket > ca. 140 m2/g.
4. Modificeret Trass ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, som er imprægneret med en komponent, der er valgt fra gruppen omfattende sulfider, polysulfider, metalsalte eller en hvilken som helst kombination deraf, eller som er ladet med en komponent, der er valgt fra gruppen omfattende elementært svovl, vandglas eller en hvilken som helst kombination deraf.
5. Modificeret Trass ifølge krav 4, hvor henholdsvis metallerne eller metalsaltene omfatter vanadium, wolfram, titan, palladium, rhodium, platin, auer-metal, Raney-nikkel, manganoxid, vanadiumpentoxid, samarium(lll)-oxid og/eller Hopcalite eller en hvilken som helst kombination deraf.
6. Modificeret Trass ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, som er blandet med koks, aktivkul og/eller alkaliske komponenter.
7. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af en modificeret Trass, som har en aktiv overflade ifølge BET på > ca. 60 m2/g, hvilken fremgangsmåde omfatter følgende trin: (a) Trass bringes i kontakt med en blanding afvand og overfladeaktivt middel og/eller syrer for at opløse komponenter i Trass; og (b) de opløste komponenter fjernes fra Trass.
8. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 7, hvor syren er saltsyre, salpetersyre eller svovlsyre eller en blanding deraf.
9. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 7 til 8, hvor kontakten mellem blandingen afvand og overfladeaktivt middel og/eller syrer og Trass udføres ved en temperatur, som går fra omgivelsestemperaturer op til 150°C.
10. Anvendelse af en modificeret Trass ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1-6 til oprensning af væsker.
11. Anvendelse ifølge krav 10, hvor væsken er valgt blandt udstødningsgasser eller postevand.
12. Anvendelse ifølge krav 10 eller 11, hvor oprensningen omfatter fjernelse af konta-minanterfra væsken valgt blandt kviksølv, tungmetaller, kvælstofoxid, dioxin, klorerede furaner, klorerede kulbrinter, aromatiske kulbrinter, carbonmonoxid, saltsyre, svovldioxid, svovlhydrid, bakterier, svampe, biologisk affald eller en hvilken som helst kombination deraf.
