Description
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to the field of tanks for the transport of liquid, gaseous or powder products made up by a tubular envelope closed at its ends by a tank bottom.
The present invention relates more particularly to tanks made up by a cylindrical portion surrounded at least partially by insulation materials, covered on the outside by a tubular envelope closed at least at one of its ends by a bottom.
STATE OF THE ART
In general, tanks comprise many service devices required for using the tanks, such as for example ladders so as to be able to access the top portion of the tank, draining devices (valves, drain connections) for draining the tank, etc.
Such devices are generally positioned on the outside of the tank so as not to reduce the storage capacity of these tanks.
These service devices are thus positioned projecting in relation to the external envelope of the tank, which constitutes an additional dimension to the tank (increase of tank length) but can also degrade the aerodynamics of the tank during transport and give rise to security problems.
The document GB 481268 discloses a tank with a bottom having at the bottom part a housing to integrate a draining device. The document DE 1430772 discloses a tank trailer with ladders integrated in the cylindrical portion of the tank.
In this context, the invention aims to propose a tank enabling the abovementioned problems to be resolved.
For this purpose, the invention proposes a tank according to the Claim 1. A service device means apparatus necessary for the operation of the tank and/or for its use. Thus, such apparatus, apart from an access ladder, is for example a draining device, a valve, a manometer, etc.
Thanks to the invention, the service devices are integrated into the architecture of the tank bottom so as not to have these items projecting in relation to the external envelope of the tank.
In addition, the tank according to the invention enables the service devices to be integrated nevertheless without modifying the tank's storage capacity, the housing being advantageously created at the level of the tank bottom, which means not modifying the volume of the cylindrical portion of the tank.
The tank according to the invention can also have one or several of the following features taken individually or in technically possible combinations: - a horizontal housing; - said horizontal housing is positioned in the lower part of the bottom; - said horizontal housing is adapted to receive and integrate a draining device; - said draining device is integrated into a drain box, said horizontal housing being adapted to receive and integrate said drain box; - said bottom is a flat bottom or a cap-shape bottom; - said housing is formed by moulding the bottom in plastic material or by pressing the metal bottom; - said tank comprises at the level of a second end of said cylindrical portion a bottom having a horizontal housing.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES
Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear more clearly on reading the following detailed description, with reference to the following accompanying figures: FIG. 1 is a front view of a tank bottom (3) according to the invention comprising a horizontal housing in the lower part. FIG. 2 shows a side view of the bottom illustrated in FIG. 1. FIG. 3 is a front view of a tank bottom (3) according to the invention comprising a vertical housing.
For greater clarity, identical or similar items are identified with identical reference marks on all the figures.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF AT LEAST ONE EMBODIMENT FIGS 1, 2 and 3 illustrate a tank bottom 1, 11 formed by a disc section part covering the ends of a cylindrical tank body (not shown). The bottom 1, 11 is either a flat bottom or a cap-shape bottom.
The bottom 1, 11 has a housing 3, 13 to receive and integrate a service device 4, 15 of said tank.
According to a first embodiment illustrated in FIGS 1 and 2, the bottom 1 has a housing 3 arranged horizontally. The housing 3 is formed by a reinforcement of the cap-shape at the level of one of its ends. In the embodiment illustrated, the housing 3 is located in the lower part 2 of the bottom 1.
The housing 3 thus forms a reinforcement at the level of the lower part of the cap-shape whose dimensions, and in particular the depth, are determined so as to be able to integrate a drain box 4, such that the outside 5 of the box is not projecting in relation to the cap-shape of the bottom 1.
The lower part 2 of the tank bottom 1 having a housing 3 can include means for making the drain box 4 secure.
According to a second embodiment illustrated in FIG. 3, the bottom 11 has a housing 13 arranged vertically. The housing 13 is formed by a reinforcement of the cap-shape at the level of one of its ends. In the embodiment illustrated, the housing 13 is located on the right-hand side of the bottom; however, the housing 13 can just as well be arranged at the level of the left-hand side of the bottom, or again at the level of its central part.
The dimensions of the housing 13 are determined so as to be able to house a ladder 15.
The housing 13 thus forms a reinforcement whose depth more or less matches the dimensions of the ladder 15.
The part 12 of the tank bottom 11 having a housing 13 can include the means for making the ladder 15 secure.
The tank bottom 1, 11 can be made of plastic material, composite materials or metal.
According to the nature of the material of the bottom 1, 11, the reinforcement of the housing 3, 13 is formed by moulding or pressing.
Advantageously, the tank according to the invention comprises at the level of one of its ends a tank bottom 1 comprising a horizontal housing to integrate a drain box 4 as illustrated in FIGS 1 and 2 and at the level of its second end, a bottom having a vertical housing 13 suited to receive and integrate a ladder 15 as illustrated in FIG. 3.
The invention is described as a non-limiting example.
