[0007] FR-A-2 862 674 discloses a safety barrier assembled from a plurality of elements, wherein bars are used to assemble the elongated elements and are inserted through corresponding holes.
[0008] WO-A-82 04272 discloses a cement block in which two different elongated elements are connected to each other by a pipe.
[0009] The object of the invention is to improve the known traffic guidance barriers, in particular with regard to the design of the connector.
[0010] This object is achieved with a traffic guidance barrier element according to claim 1. According to the invention, a traffic guidance barrier element is provided that comprises an elongated body which has two end pieces and at least one coupling device that is arranged on each end piece and is connectible to another traffic guidance barrier element which is arranged adjacent to the traffic guidance barrier element and is developed in that the coupling device has a latch and a slot at the end face, wherein the latch interacts with a slot in the adjacent traffic guidance barrier element, and the slot interacts with a latch of the adjacent traffic guidance barrier element when or for connecting, and the coupling device has a locking section which remains at its height behind the height of an upper edge of the body, and is provided with a least one mandrel or at least one mandrel receptacle, wherein the at least one mandrel or the least one mandrel receptacle is connectible or connected to a crosspiece, wherein the crosspiece is provided with at least one mandrel receptacle or at least one mandrel, that is/are designed and arranged to correspond to the at least one mandrel, or the least one mandrel receptacle of the locking section.
[0011] With the traffic guidance barrier element according to the invention, it is no longer necessary to provide ground-side guides. Instead, one solution enables a very fast and efficient mating of two adjacent traffic guidance barriers, and the other alternative, or respectively supplemental measure, achieves a fast and efficient locking of two adjacent traffic guidance barrier elements.
[0012] According to the invention, an end plate is provided at the end face which has the slot and the latch. The traffic guidance barrier element can preferably consist of concrete, or respectively partially of concrete, or steel. The traffic guidance barrier element, in particular the body, consists of concrete that preferably has steel reinforcement, and the coupling device in particular substantially comprises steel elements, or respectively steel connector parts. The end plate and latch are preferably made of steel.
[0013] Preferably, the traffic guidance barrier element according to the invention is developed in that the at least one mandrel, and the at least one mandrel receptacle of the locking section, arc complementary in shape to the at least one mandrel receptacle, or the at least one mandrel of the crosspiece. Preferably, the mandrel is designed conically, at least in sections. Particularly preferably, a conical mandrel, or a mandrel in the shape of a conical section, is provided. The mandrel receptacle is correspondingly complementary in shape. This enables easier adjustment.
[0014] Preferably, the crosspiece has a length that is less than twice the extension of the locking section. Moreover, the upper edge of the crosspiece is preferably flush with the upper edge of the body when being placed on the locking section.
[0015] One embodiment is particularly preferable in which the latch has a T-shaped cross-section. This allows a very efficient and precise connection to be made. According to the invention, the slot is undercut and is designed to taper conically downward, at least sectionally. This enables a transverse adjustment to be easily made when joining two traffic guidance barrier elements.
[0016] An embodiment is particularly preferable in which a face-end elevation is provided in the region of the slot to hold together two adjacent traffic guidance barrier elements free of play and is designed to rise downward, in particular conically, and can be or is engaged with the latch of the adjacent traffic guidance barrier element. When connecting two traffic guidance barrier elements, this pulls the traffic guidance barrier elements toward each other to enable the traffic guidance barrier elements to be held together free of play, in particular in the longitudinal direction. According to the invention, a traffic guidance barrier is provided with a plurality of joined traffic guidance barrier elements which were described above.
[0017] Moreover, the object is achieved according to the invention in that a traffic guidance barrier consists of a plurality of elements, or respectively traffic guidance barrier elements, that each consist of an elongated body and a connector part connecting the body of an adjacently set up traffic guidance barrier element, which is developed in that both end pieces of the body are provided with a connecting part made of steel that consists of an end plate, a locking section, and in particular a footplate, or respectively comprises these elements, wherein the height of the locking section remains behind the upper edge of the body and is provided with at least one mandrel or a mandrel receptacle, and a crosspiece is provided, the length of which corresponds to twice that of the locking section, wherein both halves are provided with a mandrel receptacle, or respectively a mandrel, that is designed and arranged to correspond to the mandrel, or respectively mandrel receptacle, of the locking section, and wherein the upper edge of the crosspiece is flush with the upper edge of the body upon being placed on the locking section. A preferred embodiment is characterized in that the end plate of the connecting part is provided with a latch with a T-shaped cross-section extending along the end plate, and an undercut slot that extends along the end plate and accommodates the latch of an adjacent element during installation. The body can consist of concrete, or respectively can comprise concrete, and otherwise be made of steel. The body can also be substantially made of steel.
[0018] This application claims the priority of the German patent application with official patent number 10 2012 009 960.6 submitted on May 19, 2012, the entire content of which is incorporated here by means of reference.
[0019] Further features of the invention will become apparent from the description of embodiments according to the invention together with the claims and the included drawings. Embodiments according to the invention can fulfill individual characteristics or a combination of several characteristics.
[0020] The invention is described below, without restricting the general idea of the invention, using exemplary embodiments with reference to the drawings, whereby we expressly refer to the drawings with regard to the disclosure of all details according to the invention that are not explained in greater detail in the text. In the following:
Fig. 1 shows a first exemplary embodiment of the invention that illustrates the procedure of uniting connecting parts, or respectively connector parts of adjacent traffic guidance barrier elements,
Fig. 2 schematically portrays a three-dimensional representation of the exemplary embodiment shown in Fig. 1 with joined connector parts, or respectively joined traffic guidance barrier elements,

Fig. 4 schematically portrays a three-dimensional representation of the exemplary embodiment shown in Fig. 3 with joined traffic guidance barrier elements, and
Fig. 5 shows a section of two traffic guidance barrier elements that are connected to each other in a schematic three-dimensional representation, wherein parts are cut out for better visualization.
[0021] In the drawings, the same or similar types of elements and/or parts are provided with the same reference numbers so that a re-introduction is omitted.
[0022] Fig. 1 to 4 schematically portray three-dimensional exploded views of bodies 10 of two traffic guidance barrier elements 1, 2 in each case and corresponding connector parts, or respectively coupling devices that are each arranged at the ends of traffic guidance barrier elements 1, 2. In the context of the invention, a coupling device comprises connector parts, or respectively connecting parts 12.
[0023] The coupling device arranged in the end piece 3 of the respective traffic guidance barrier 1, or respectively 2 will be described below.
[0024] The connecting parts 12 are connected to each other in the assembly of a traffic guidance barrier that consists of a plurality of traffic guidance barrier elements 1, 2. The connecting parts 12 are preferably made of steel. They comprise a footplate 14, an end plate 16 and a locking section 18. The locking section 18 remains at its height behind the upper edge of the body 10 and is provided with upwardly pointing mandrels 22 in the depicted exemplary embodiment according to Fig. 1 and 2. In the exemplary embodiment according to Fig. 3 and 4, mandrel receptacles 26 instead of mandrels are provided that are connected to corresponding mandrels of a crosspiece 24.
[0025] In the embodiments, a crosspiece 24 is provided with a length that corresponds to twice that of the locking section 18, or twice that of the extension of the locking section 18, wherein both halves of the crosspiece 24 are each provided with two mandrel receptacles 26 in the example of Fig. 1 and 2 which are formed by holes in the crosspiece 24 formed from a square tube in the depicted exemplary embodiment. The respective hole of the mandrel receptacles 26 is however covered by the material in Fig. 1 and 2 and is accordingly invisible. The mandrel 22 and mandrel receptacles 26 are correspondingly arranged so that the respective mandrel 22 engages in the respective mandrel receptacle 26 during assembly.
[0026] In the exemplary embodiment in Fig. 3 and 4, the mandrel receptacle 26 in the locking section 18 can be seen, and also the mandrel 22 that is inserted in the mandrel receptacle 26. In the exemplary embodiment in Fig. 3 and 4, two mandrel receptacles 26 and two corresponding mandrels 22 are provided on each end piece 3, or respectively connecting part 12 of each traffic guidance barrier element. This increases the stability of the connection. The crosspiece 24 has a height that causes the upper edge 20’ of the crosspiece 24 to be flush with the upper edge 20 of the body 10 upon being placed on the locking section 18. This applies to the embodiment in Fig. 1 to 4.
[0027] The end plate 16 of the connecting part 12 is provided with a latch 30, and the end plate 16 of the adjacent connecting part is provided with a slot 32, wherein the latch 30 and slot 32 interact with each other upon inserting the latch into the slot.
[0028] In the portrayed exemplary embodiments in Fig. 1 to 5, each end plate 16 is provided with a latch 30 with a T-shaped cross-section as well as with a slot 32, wherein the latch 30 and slot 32 extend eccentrically along the end plate 16. Alternatively, a design could also be possible in which the end plate is formed on one end of a traffic guidance barrier element with a slot 32, and on the other end of the traffic guidance barrier element with a latch 30. The portrayed versions according to Fig. 1 to 5 are, however, preferred since a rotationally symmetrical embodiment is accordingly provided on the one hand, during the assembly of which it does not matter which side, or respectively which end part in this context, of the traffic guidance barrier element is connected to the end part of the other traffic guidance barrier element. Both sides always fit each other. On the other hand, a very effective connection of the traffic guidance barrier elements is enabled by two connecting elements on each end face.
[0029] The crosspiece 24 is correspondingly provided with holes 34 that allow the passage of bolts 36 which can be screwed into, or respectively connected to a threaded hole 38 in the locking section 18.
[0030] In the exemplary embodiments shown in Fig. 1 and 2, the body 10 consists of concrete, or respectively substantially of concrete, in which the coupling device, or respectively the connecting parts, or respectively the connector is/are incorporated. In the exemplary embodiment shown in Fig. 3 and 4, the body substantially consists of steel, or respectively preferably has steel or sheet-metal elements bent in a U-shape. These elements which are also termed reinforcement braces are preferably welded onto the coupling device, or respectively the connectors, connecting parts or connector parts. Moreover as shown in Fig. 5, a guardrail 41 is provided that can be made of steel or another metal and stable material. The guardrail 41 can also be considered a reinforcement brace. In the exemplary embodiments according to Fig. 3 and 4, the mandrels 22 are attached to the crosspiece 24. The mandrels 22 engage in the mandrel receptacles 26 which are provided in the locking section 18.
[0031] Fig. 5 also shows a particularly preferred embodiment in which a connection 10 free of play, or respectively a play-free union of two adjacent traffic guidance barrier elements is shown. Upon being inserted, the latch 30 introduced into the slot 32 which is designed to taper conically downward engages in two elevations 40 that are also designed conical facing downward and, however, rise downward sectionally. In other words, the elevations are provided in the region of the slot 32 in an end plate, in particular welded on, in the undercut cavity in the end plate. The elevation accordingly faces away from the adjacent traffic guidance barrier element. A force is thus exerted on the latch and hence on the adjacent traffic guidance barrier that faces the traffic guidance barrier to which the elevation 40 is attached. Accordingly, two adjacent traffic guidance barriers are thereby moved towards each other. This produces a secure connection free of play.
[0032] To enable a traffic guidance barrier element to be removed from a traffic guidance barrier, the slot 32 is designed to open again conically toward the bottom below the region of engagement of the elevation 40 with the latch 30. In addition, the elevation 40 tapers again toward the bottom to simplify removal.
[0033] Furthermore, the following preferred exemplary embodiments are provided: 1. A traffic guidance barrier consisting of a plurality of elements that each have an elongated body 10 and a connector part connected to the body 10 of an adjacently set up element, wherein both end pieces of the body 10 are provided with a connecting part 12 made of steel that in particular consists of a footplate 14, an end plate 16 and a locking section 18, wherein the height of the locking section 18 remains behind the upper edge 20 of the body 10 and is provided with at least one mandrel 22 or mandrel receptacle 26, and a crosspiece 24 is provided, the length of which corresponds to less than twice that of the locking section 18, wherein both halves of the cross piece 24 are provided with at least one mandrel receptacle 26, or respectively mandrel 22, that is designed and arranged to correspond to the mandrel 22, or respectively mandrel receptacle 26, of the locking section 18, and in particular the upper edge of the crosspiece 24 is flush with the upper edge of the body 10 upon being placed on the locking section 18. 2. A traffic guidance barrier according to the preferred exemplary embodiment 1, characterized in that the end plates 16 of the connecting part 12 are provided with a latch 30 with a T-shaped cross-section extending along the end plate 16, and an undercut slot 32 that extends along the end plate 16 and accommodates the latch 30 of an adjacent element during installation.
[0034] Within the context of the invention, a connector, connecting part, or connecting element is a part of a coupling device. The connecting part can, but however does not have to, comprise a footplate. Moreover, the connecting part can, but however does not have to, comprise an end plate.
[0035] All named features, including those taken from the drawings alone and individual features, which are disclosed in combination with other features, are considered alone and in combination as essential for the invention. Embodiments according to the invention can be fulfilled through individual features or a combination of several features.
[0036] Within the framework of the invention, characteristics designated with "in particular" are understood to be optional features.
