Claims (12)

1. In wfro-fremgangsmåde til bestemmelse af, om et individ er inficeret med en bakterie af Propionibacterium-arten, hvor infektionen er en proteseinfektion, omfattende: - at detektere antistoffer, der er rettet mod mindst et protein fra sekvens SEQ ID NO: 2 i en biologisk prøve fra individet, hvor den biologiske prøve er udvalgt fra gruppen bestående af blod, serum, plasma, slimhindeassocieret lymfoidt væv, cerebrospinaivæske, ledvæske, pleuravæske, spyt og urin, og - derfra at udlede, at individet er inficeret med en bakterie af Propionibacteri-um- arten.
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor bakterien er udvalgt fra gruppen bestående af P. aenes, P. avidum, P. granulosum og P. propionieum.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvor antistofferne er IgG.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 3, hvor et proteseled, der er implanteret i individet, er inficeret med bakterien.
5. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 4, hvor protesen udvælges fra gruppen bestående af et knæled, et skulderled og et hofteled.
6. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 5, hvor detekteringen af antistoffer rettet mod mindst et protein fra sekvens SEQ ID NO: 2 omfatter at bringe den biologiske prøve i kontakt med mindst et protein fra sekvens SEQ ID NO: 2.
7. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 6, hvor individet er i behandling med antibiotika.
8. Anvendelse af mindst et protein fra sekvens SEQ ID NO: 2 til in vitro-diagnostik af infektion med en bakterie af Propionibacterium-arten, hvor infektionen er en proteseinfektion.
9. Kit til diagnosticering af en infektion med en bakterie af Propionibacterium-arten, omfattende et protein fra sekvens SEQ ID NO: 2 og et protein fra sekvens SEQ ID NO: 4, SEQ ID NO: 6 eller SEQ ID NO: 8.
10. Kit ifølge krav 9, hvor kittet yderligere omfatter: mindst et protein fra sekvens SEQ ID NO: 32, SEQ ID NO: 34, SEQ ID NO: 36, SEQ ID NO: 38, SEQ ID NO: 40, SEQ ID NO: 42 eller SEQ ID NO: 44.
11. Kit ifølge krav 9 eller 10, hvor kittet yderligere omfatter: mindst et protein fra sekvens SEQ ID NO: 46, SEQ ID NO: 48, SEQ ID NO: 50 eller SEQ ID NO: 52.
12. Kit ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 10 til 11, hvor kittet yderligere omfatter mindst et protein fra sekvens SEQ ID NO: 54 eller SEQ ID NO: 56.
