Claims (13)

1. Firetaktskompressionstændingsmotor (10) omfattende: adskillige cylindre (20), som hver især har et tilsvarende stempel (50), som er forskydeligt i cylinderen (20) for forbrænding af en brændstof/luft-blanding uden et tændelement; adskillige brændstofdyser (70) til indsprøjtning af brændstof i cylindrene (20); organer (75) til at styre strømningen af brændstof til brændstofdyserne (70), hvor organerne (75) til styring modtager data relateret til en egenskab, som er en indikation for belastningen af motoren (10), og hvor organerne (75) til styring styrer strømningen af brændstof til brændstofdyserne (70) således, at brændstoftrykket reduceres som reaktion på detektion af en forøgelse af belastningen af motoren (10) over en forudbestemt belastning; hvor organerne (75) til styring er indrettede til at styre brændstoftrykket således, at brændstoffet tilføres ved et første tryk på omtrent 13.790 kPa (2000 psi) eller mindre, når motoren (10) arbejder indenfor et første belastningsområde, som er lig med eller mindre end den forudbestemte belastning, og hvor organerne (75) til styring er indrettede til at styre brændstoftrykket således, at brændstoffet tilføres ved et andet tryk, som er lavere end det første tryk, når motoren (10) arbejder indenfor et andet belastningsområde, som er over den forudbestemte belastning; hvor i det mindste én af brændstofdyserne (70) omfatter et første sæt åbninger (114) til tilvejebringelse af en spray af dråber med en første størrelse, når motoren (10) arbejder indenfor det første belastningsområde og brændstofdysen (70) omfatter et andet sæt åbninger (116) til tilvejebringelse af en spray af dråber med en anden størrelse, når motoren (70) arbejder indenfor det andet belastningsområde, hvor den anden dråbestørrelse er større end den første dråbestørrelse.
2. Motor (10) ifølge krav 1, hvor det andet tryk er omtrent 6895 kPa (1000 psi) eller mindre.
3. Motor (10) ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvor brændstofdysen (70) omfatter organer til at styre om brændstoffet afgives fra det første sæt åbninger (114) eller det andet sæt åbninger (116).
4. Motor (10) ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 3, hvor brændstofdysen (70) omfatter en højtryksregulator (80) og en separat lavtryksregulator (90) til fastholdelse af brændstoffet indenfor en forudbestemt øvre og nedre grænse uanset strømningshastigheden for brændstoffet igennem dysen (70).

7. Motor (10) ifølge krav 1, hvor organerne til styring er indrettede til at styre strømningen af brændstof således, at brændstofdyserne (70) afslutter indsprøjtningen af brændstof ind i cylinderen (20) før påbegyndelse af forbrænding i cylinderen (20).
8. Motor (10) ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 7, hvor brændstofdyserne (70) indsprøjter brændstof i et forbrændingskammer (23) dannet af cylinderen (20) og stemplet (50), hvor i det mindste én af dyserne (70) er konfigureret til at indsprøjte brændstoffet i en første vinkel, når motoren (10) arbejder indenfor det første belastningsområde og i en anden vinkel, når motoren (10) arbejder indenfor det andet belastningsområde.
9. Fremgangsmåde til styring af en firetaktskompressionstændingsmotor (10), omfattende følgende trin: åbning af en første ventil (35) for at tillade indsugningen af luft i en cylinder (20); indsprøjtning af brændstof igennem et første sæt åbninger (114) ind i et forbrændingskammer (23) i cylinderen (20) under en første forbrændingscyklus, hvor brændstoffet indsprøjtes med et første tryk, som er mindre end omtrent 13.970 kPa (2000 psi), for tilvejebringelse af en brændstof/luft-blanding i forbrændingskammeret (23); forbrænding af brændstoffet i forbrændingskammeret (23); åbning af en anden ventil (32) for at tillade udstødning af forbrændingsgasser efter trinnet med forbrænding; overvågning af en karakteristisk værdi, som er en indikation for belastningen af motoren (10); og indsprøjtning af brændstof igennem et andet sæt åbninger (116) ind i forbrændingskammeret (23) under en anden forbrændingscyklus ved et andet tryk, som reaktion på at den overvågede karakteristiske værdi indikerer en belastning over en første forudbestemt tærskel; hvor det andet tryk er lavere end det første tryk.
10. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 9, omfattende trinnet med indsprøjtning af brændstof i forbrændingskammeret (23) under en tredie forbrændingscyklus som reaktion på at den overvågede karakteristiske værdi indikerer en belastning under den første forudbestemte tærskel, hvor trinnet med indsprøjtning af brændstof en tredie gang omfatter indsprøjtning af brændstof ved det første tryk.
11. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 9, hvor trinnet med indsprøjtning af yderligere brændstof omfatter afslutning af indsprøjtningen af brændstof i cylinderen (20) før forbrænding påbegyndes i cylinderen (20).
12. Fremgangsmåde ifølge ethvert af kravene 9 til 11, hvor trinnet med forbrænding af brændstoffet omfatter komprimering af brændstof/luft-blanding for forbrænding af brændstof/luft-blandingen uden et tændelement.
13. Fremgangsmåde ifølge ethvert af kravene 9 til 12, hvor trinnene med indsprøjtning af brændstof en første og anden gang omfatter indsprøjtning af brændstof i en spray med dråber, hvor trinnet med indsprøjtning af brændstof en første gang omfatter dannelse af sprayen således, at dråberne har en første størrelse, og trinnet med indsprøjtning af brændstof en anden gang omfatter dannelse af en spray således, at dråberne er større end den første størrelse.
