Claims (13)

1. Materialefolie bestående af et monolag, hvor monolaget består af et bindemiddel og en flerhed af trukne, ensrettede polymerfibre med en styrke på over 1,2 GPa, og hvor monolaget har en tykkelse på under 100 ym, hvor materialefolien omfatter bindemidlet i en mængde på under 5 vægtprocent i forhold til den samlede vægt af materialefolien, og hvor nabofibrene i monolaget er mekanisk forenet ved van der Waals-binding og mekanisk indgreb, hvorved der dannes en sammenhængende materialefolie med indbyrdes forbundne fibre, og hvor fibrene er filamenter i et multifilamentgarn.
2. Materialefolie ifølge krav 1, hvor de trukne, ensrettede polymerfibre er lavet af lineær polyethylen med ultrahøj molekylvægt med en egenviskositet på mindst 4 dl/g som bestemt på opløsninger i decalin ved 135 °C; hvor den lineære polyethylen med ultrahøj molekylvægt har mindre end 1 sidekæde pr. 100 carbonatomer som målt ved FTIR på en 2 mm tyk pressestøbt film, hvor en sidekæde indeholde mindst 10 carbonatomer.
3. Materialefolie ifølge krav 1 eller krav 2, hvor monolaget har en tykkelse på højst 2 gange tykkelsen af de trukne, ensrettede polymerfibre.
4. Materialefolie ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1- 3, hvor bindemidlet desuden omfatter smelte-omkrystalliserede fibre i en mængde på mindre end 5 vægtprocent i forhold til den samlede vægt af polymerfibrene som bestemt ved DSC (10 °C/min).
5. Materialefolie ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1- 4, hvor bindemidlet er til stede i bindestrimler eller -fibre for at binde fibrene i et monolag, og hvilke bindestrimler eller -fibre er orienteret i en anden retning end de trukne, ensrettede polymerfibre i monolaget, hvor bindestrimlerne eller -fibrene dækker højst 20 % af monolagets overfladeareal, som bindestrimlerne eller -fibrene er bundet til.
6. Materialefolie ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1-5, hvor bindemidlet er valgt fra gruppen af polyurethaner, polyvinyler, polyacryler, polyolefiner og termoplastiske elastomere blokcopolymerer, såsom polyisopropen-polyethylen-butylen-polystyren eller polystyren-polyisopren-polystyren-blokcopolymerer.
7. Materialefolie ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 6, hvor monolaget er i form af et bånd, og hvor båndet er en aflang struktur med et aspektforhold mellem tværsnitsbredden og højden, der er større end 5 og mindre end 10.000 .
8. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af et materialefolie, hvilken materialefolie består af et monolag, hvilken fremgangsmåde omfatter trinnet, der går ud på: a. at ensrette en flerhed af trukne polymerfibre med en styrke på mere end 1,2 GPa, hvorved der dannes et monolag med en tykkelse på mindre end 100 pm og et indhold af bindemiddel på mindre end 5 vægtprocent i forhold til vægten af materialefolien; og b. at presse materialefolien, hvor de trukne polymerfibre er således rettet, at mindst en del af fibrene i monolaget er i tilstødende kontakt langs deres største længde, og materialefolien er presset ved et tryk på mindst 75 bar, således at de tilstødende fibre forenes mekanisk ved van der Waals-binding og mekanisk indgreb, hvorved der dannes en sammenhængende materialefolie med indbyrdes forbundne fibre; hvor fibrene er filamenter i et multifilamentgarn.
9. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 8, hvor de trukne polymerfibre er baseret på en polymer, der er valgt fra gruppen bestående af polyolefiner, polyestere, polyvinylalkoholer, polyacrylonitriler, polyketoner og polyamider.
10. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 8 eller 9, hvor det tryk og den temperatur, materialefolien udsættes for, er valgt således, at mindre end 5 vægtprocent af fibrene i materialefolien er smeltet under fremgangsmåden, som bestemt ved DSC (10 °C/min).
11. Ballistisk modstandsdygtig artikel, der omfatter en materialefolie ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 7.
12. Vævet ballistisk modstandsdygtig artikel, der omfatter materialefolien ifølge krav 7.
13. Anvendelse af materialefolien ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 7 i fremstillingen af ballistisk modstandsdygtige artikler.
