Opfindelsen angår en svejsemuffe til forbindelse af rør af termoplastisk materiale med indlagt strømleder, der i det mindste delvis er udformet som en modstandsvannetråd og har to til strømtilslutning tjenende frie ender.
5 Sådanne svejsemuffer er kendt og består sædvanligvis af samme materiale som de rør, på hvilke de skal påsvejses, uanset om de er udformede som sædvanlige svejsemuffer til permanent forbindelse af to rørender eller er udformede som fittings med et gevind ved den ene ende og altså skal tjene til at forsyne den rørende, på hvilken 10 de skal påsvejses, med et gevind. Til gennemførelse af svejsningen anvendes særligt udformede styreapparater, med hvilke den spænding, der skal lægges på modstandsvarmetråden, og den nødvendige varighed af opvarmningen kan indstilles. På større byggepladser, hvor flere arbejdere er beskæftiget med sammensætning af termoplastiske rør, 15 skal der forefindes flere sådanne apparater, også selv i tilfælde hvor apparaterne ofte ikke benyttes i dagevis. Det drejer sig således ofte om større investeringer, og dertil kommer den kendte ulempe, at apparaterne beskadiges på byggepladsen, går tabt eller endog stjæles. Da man på apparatet kan indstille varigheden af den 20 til svejseprocessen nødvendige strømgennemgang og ofte endvidere kan indstille den dertil nødvendige spænding, er der fare for fejlagtig indstilling af disse værdier, hvilket medfører fejl i svejseforbindelsen.
Til eliminering af disse ulemper kendes allerede anordninger 25 til anbringelse på muffelegemet ved hjælp af hvilke, det ved simpel visuel kontrol kan konstateres, om sammensvejsningen er sket, og om der under svejsningen er opnået den rigtige svejsetemperatur. Dette sker f.eks. ifølge AT-B-361.749 ved hjælp af en følerstift, der deformeres efter fuldført sammensvejsning, eller som foreslået 30 ifølge CH-A-612.489 ved hjælp af en på muffen anbragt temperaturindikator. I begge tilfælde er det imidlertid stadig nødvendigt at anvende det forannævnte styreapparat for på byggepladsen at kunne foretage en manuel indstilling af den skønsmæssigt nødvendige varighed af opvarmningsprocessen.
35 Endvidere kendes fra FR-A-1.260.490 en indretning til stuk svejsning af formstofdele, ved hvilken en ringformet varmeleder er forsynet med et smeltested. I dette tilfælde betjenes varmelederen ikke over en strømleder men ved hjælp af en induktionsspole, således at der også her skal anvendes et ekstra apparat til gennemførelse af 2

Alle disse ulemper kan elimineres ved hjælp af svejsemuffen ifølge den foreliggende opfindelse, som er ejendommelig ved, at strømlederen har et smeltested, der er dimensioneret på en sådan 5 måde, at det smelter tilnærmelsesvis på det tidspunkt, hvor den til muffens svejsning nødvendige energi er omsat i varme!ederen. Der skal herefter kun træffes den forholdsregel, at fabrikanten anbringer en henvisning til den spænding, der skal pålægges, hvilket under europæiske forhold sædvanligvis vil være 220 volt vekselstrøm, fordi 10 denne spænding er til rådighed på alle byggepladser. Dersom der som eneste hjælpemiddel anvendes et tolederkabel med en stikprop til tilslutning til 220 volt vekstrøm, en ledningsafbryder og tilslutningsorganer, der kan sluttes til strømlederen, er muligheden for betjeningsfejl udelukket, og investeringsomkostningerne og faren for 15 bortkomst er væsentligt mindre end ved anvendelsen af de hidtil nødvendige styreapparater.
I det følgende forklares en udførelsesform for opfindelsen nærmere under henvisning til tegningen. På tegningen viser:
Fig. 1 et længdesnit gennem en svejsemuffe ifølge opfindelsen, 20 og fig. 2 et tværsnit efter linien II-II i fig. 1.
En cylindrisk muffedel, på hvis inderside en modstandsvarmetråd 3 med vindinger 3a på i og for sig kendt måde er indsat, er betegnet med 1. De to ender af modstandsvarmetråden er betegnede med 3b og 25 3c.
Mellem den ene ende af vindingerne 3a og tilslutningen 3c har modstandsvarmetråden et smeltested 3d, der er dimensioneret på en sådan måde, at det gennemsmeltes, når den til svejsningen af muffen 1 nødvendige energi er omsat i varmelederen 3a, hvilket alt efter 30 størrelsen af muffen ved en pålagt spænding på 220 volt vekselstrøm kan vare 0,5-5 minutter eller eventuelt længere. Dette smeltested er her anbragt i en glasampul 4. Det kunne naturligvis også være indesluttet i en fortrinsvis gennemsigtig formstofbøsning. Det er hensigtsmæssigt, dersom smeltestedet i det mindste delvis er omgivet 35 med materiale, der blivende skifter farve ved gennemsmeltningen.
Dette kan også opnås ved, at smeltestedet består af et materiale, der ved gennemsmeltningen afsætter en god synlig belægning på indersiden af beskyttelsesbøsningen. På denne måde er det muligt uden videre at konstatere, om svejsningen allerede er gennemført

Claims (6)

1. Svejsemuffe til forbindelse af rør af termoplastisk materiale med indlagt strømleder (3), der i det mindste delvis er udformet som en modstandsvarmetråd, og har to til strømtilslutning tjenende frie ender (3b,3c), kendetegnet ved, at strøm- 15 lederen har et smeltested (3d), der er således dimensioneret, at det gennemsmeltes tilnærmelsesvis på det tidspunkt, hvor den til svejsningen af muffen nødvendige energi er blevet omsat i varmelederen.
2. Svejsemuffe ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet ved, at smeltestedet er anbragt på en sådan måde, at det er synligt udefra.
3. Svejsemuffe ifølge krav 2, kendetegnet ved, at smeltestedet er anbragt i et gennemsigtigt materiale (4).
4. Svejsemuffe ifølge krav 2 eller 3, kendetegnet ved, at smeltestedet i det mindste delvis omgives af et materiale, der ved smeltestedets gennemsmeltning undergår en blivende farveæn- 25 dring.
5. Svejsemuffe ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1-4, kendetegnet ved, at smeltestedet er anbragt i en form-stofholder (5), der kan aftages fra den øvrige del af svejsemuffen.
6. Svejsemuffe ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1-5, 30 kendetegnet ved, at smeltestedet er anbragt mellem en som strømtilslutning tjenende ende (3c) og den som modstandsvarmetråd tjenende del (3a) af strømlederen. 35
