Abstract

A cleaning mop comprises a polyester fabric carrier layer (12) with an attachment for a holder on the upper face and a wiper pad (16), pref. of cotton or polyester. The pad (16) is attached to the underside of the carrier (12) by stitching onto a border strip (20) of the carrier layer (12). The inner edge (36) of the border strip (20) is reinforced by stitching which also holds it onto the upper face of the carrier layer (12).
