Abstract

The invention relates to an accumulator with a double shell for preparing and storing hot domestic water, consisting of a storage container (1) which is provided with cold water supply and hot water outlet connections (3, 4) and which, apart from the container bottom (5) provided with the connections (3, 4), is surrounded at a short distance with a shape-matched outer shell (2) which conducts the heating medium and on which the heating medium forward and return run connections (6, 7) are arranged. According to the invention, of the forward and return run connections (6, 7) connected to openings (14) at the upper end of the outer shell (2), at least the forward run connection (6) has with its longitudinal axis (LA), which is axially parallel to the longitudinal axis (BA) of the container, a distance (D) from the wall (W) of the outer shell (2) which is at most slightly greater than half the diameter of the outflow opening (A) of the connection (6). <IMAGE>
