Abstract

A mailing envelope, constructed like a letter envelope and preferably made of cardboard, has on one peripheral edge (1) a closure flap (3) which is bonded firmly to the surface (7) of the mailing envelope by two corner regions (6) in the closed state. Intended break lines (5) bound the triangular corner regions (6) such that a flap part (9) situated between them can be swivelled up by simultaneous tearing-open of the intended break lines (5) for the purpose of opening the closure flap. In the sealed state, the flap part (9) conceals an insertion slit (8) which extends below said flap part in the surface (7) of the mailing envelope between the two firmly bonded corner regions (6) and serves for insertion of the flap part (9) in order to close the mailing envelope again after the initial opening. The contents are inserted into the mailing envelope from another side, for which purpose the mailing envelope has a further closure flap (11) which is attached to a further peripheral edge (10), extends over the entire side and is sealed by means of a self-adhesive strip. <IMAGE>
