For the production of phosphoric acid, thiophosphoric acid or thionothiolphosphoric acid esters, which contain a sulfone group instead of an alkoxy group in an alkyl radical are different Procedure known. The sulfoxide compounds corresponding to the above sulfones are not yet known. It has now been found that the easily accessible, / J-chloroethyl or /? - bromoethyl-alkyl sulfides with hydrogen peroxide to the. corresponding sulfoxides.

Surprisingly, in the /? - chlorine or / I-Bromoethylalkyl-sulfoxides the halogens very much loosely bound to the carbon.
O, O-dialkylthiophosphoric acid, which is easily accessible in this way - S - alkylsulfoxylethyl esters are valuable insecticides which are supposed to be used as new plant protection products. Compared to the thiophosphoric acid ester known from German patent specification 876 691! Ester residue a sulfonyl group instead of a sulfoxyl group the esters obtained by the present process are much more effective.
The following examples give an overview of the claimed method.

[O, O-Dimethyl-S-(äthyl-sulfoxyl-äthyl)-thiolthionophosphat] [O, O-dimethyl-S- (ethyl-sulfoxyl-ethyl) -thiolthionophosphate]
Die Ausbeute beträgt 6i°/o der Theorie.35 g (°> 2 mol) ammonium salt: the O, O-dimethylthiolthionophosphoric acid "(F." 147 0 ) are suspended in 75 ecm of methyl ethyl ketone and mixed with 39.5 g (0.215 mol) of ethylsulfoxylethyl bromide. After a short time, the ammonium salt of O, 0-dimethylthiolthionophosphoric acid dissolves, and at the same time ammonium bromide precipitates as a heavy crystal powder without a noticeable rise in temperature. The mixture is stirred overnight, the ammonium bromide is filtered off with suction, and the solvent is distilled off. The remaining oil is taken up in benzene and washed repeatedly with water. After drying over sodium sulfate, after distilling off the solvent, 32 g of O, O-dimethyl-S- (ethyl-sulfoxyl-ethyl) -thiolthionophosphate are obtained as an amber-yellow, slightly water-soluble oil. The yield is 61% of theory.

[O, O-Diäthyl-S-(äthyl-sulfoxyl-äthyl)-thiolphosphat] [O, O-diethyl-S- (ethyl-sulfoxyl-ethyl) -thiol phosphate]
A solution of 56 g (0.3 mol) of the ammonium salt of O, O-Diäthylthiolphosphorsäure and 58 g (0.315 mol) of ß-Äthylsulfoxyläthylbromid ECM 100 in methyl ethyl ketone is heated for 30 minutes at 70 to 75 0th After cooling, the ammonium bromide which has precipitated is filtered off with suction and the solvent is distilled off in vacuo. The remaining oil is dissolved in about 250 ecm of water. The sulfoxyl ester is salted out by adding a saturated potash solution. The ester is taken up in chlorobenzene, separated off and dried over sodium sulfate. Vacuum distillation at 0.01 mm gives 75 g (91.4%) of the sulfoxyl ester as an amber-yellow, water-soluble oil which distills over at 108 °.
