GERHARD KLEIN in KÖLN. Neuerung an Dachbedeckungen.
Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 22. August 1879 ab.
Diese Neuerung an Dachbedeckungen besteht in der Anwendung einer Dachpappe, welche
infolge ihrer Zusammensetzung bedeutend dauerhafter als andere Dachpappen, ferner wasserdicht
und unverbrennbar sein soll.
Die Herstellung der Pappe geschieht, indem man Lumpendeckel, Packleinen und Manillapapier
mit einer wasserdichten Mischung von Theer und Asphalt tränkt und fest aufeinander
prefst. Die so präparirte Pappe wird aufserhalb nochmals mit der wasserdichten Mischung
bestrichen, mit feinem Mauersand bestreut und dann mit einer feuerfesten Composition überstrichen.
Diese feuerfeste Composition stellt der Erfinder her aus einer Mischung von gemahlenem
Asbest und kohlensaurem Kalk.

1. Herstellung einer feuerfesten Composition von gemahlenem Asbest und kohlensaurem
Kalk.
2. Herstellungsverfahren einer feuerfesten und wasserdichten Dachpappe durch Anstrich
einer mit Asphalt und Theer durch Tränken und Pressen präparirten Dachpappe mittelst
einer Mischung von gemahlenem Asbest und kohlensaurem Kalk.
