Die bisher bekannt gewordenen Walzensortirapparate sind unter der Voraussetzung construirt, dafs es unbedingt erforderlich sei, die Durchtrittsöffnung als allseitig geschlossene Figur zu behandeln. Dies ist aber nicht unter allen Umständen der Fall, weil doch die Kohle in der Regel in Würfelform oder in ähnlicher Gestalt zerbröckelt. Die platte Form findet sich so gut wie gar nicht bei Kohlen und Kleinkohlen. Aus diesem Grunde wird der vorliegenden Erfindung gemäfs die Durchtrittsöffnung der Walzensortirapparate zickzackförmig gestaltet. Man erreicht damit den folgenden Vortheil: Unter der Voraussetzung, dafs die einzelnen Durchtrittsöffnungen allseitig geschlossen sind, liegen die Vorsprünge zweier benachbarter Walzen dicht neben einander. Auf diese Weise ist es unmöglich, dafs Kohlenstückchen, welche der Kaliberweite gemäfs nach unten hindurchfallen sollten, unmittelbar ihren Weg in waagrechter Richtung fortsetzen, indem sie von den Vorsprüngen der einen Walze auf diejenigen der nächstfolgenden übertreten.The previously known roller sorting apparatus are under the prerequisite designed that it was absolutely necessary to keep the passage opening closed on all sides Handle figure.
