Disc brake, in particular for rail vehicles The invention relates to
a disc brake, especially for rail vehicles. With known disc brakes
Brake disks are provided on both sides of the wheel disk, with the brake shoes
be actuated by a brake linkage gripping around the wheel like pliers. With others
known brake disc assemblies is the brake disc on the wheel axle between
arranged on the wheels. In the case of such brake disks, it is also known to use the brake disk
to be designed as a fan body, the cooling fins serving to stiffen the disc.
In manchen Fällen, z.
In some cases, e.g. B. for small and trams as well as driving wheelsets,
the known arrangements are not applicable due to lack of space. It is known,
in such cases, the brake discs should only be placed on the outside of the wheelset.
Difficulties arise when the brake disc is firmly connected to the wheel
is in that vibrations of the wheel disc are transmitted to the brake disc and
on the other hand, the expansion of the brake disc due to heating on the wheel disc
transmits. One could now think of the well-known, designed as a fan body,
Double brake disc on the outside of the wheels acted on from both sides
to arrange. In this case, however, only one of the two brake disks would
be effective as a brake disc. The brake disc would also be subject to one-sided stress
not grown sufficiently by the brake shoes, if not, as is known, the
Disc is stiffened by cooling fins.
erreicht. The invention aims to develop a on the outside of the
Radeis to be arranged brake disc. The arrangement should once the
Basic condition
meet that vibrations of the wheel disc do not affect the brake disc and the
Thermal expansion of the brake disc cannot be transferred to the wheel disc. To the
on the other hand, the brake disc should be as rigid as possible with the least amount of material
trained and yet highly resilient. It is to this end that the invention exists
in that the brake disc, which is designed as a fan body in a manner known per se,
which is stiffened by the cooling fins, on the side facing the wheel one of
the hub has cantilevered outwardly extending disc through the
Cooling fins is connected to the brake disc arranged on the outside. By
the arrangement of this second disc becomes a further stiffening of the brake disc
achieved.
It is already known that one brake disc is used in disc brakes
on the inside of the wheel and the other disc on the outside
of the brake wheel, whereby the brake discs are only connected to the inside of the wheel,
but otherwise are free from the impeller. The brake discs are on theirs
Provide the side facing the impeller with cooling fins stiffening the brake disc
and are supported in the vicinity of their outer circumference by means of gripping through the wheel disc
Approaches against each other. This known arrangement is only applicable when on the
There is enough space inside the wheel to accommodate the inner brake disc
with the corresponding brake shoe is available. With very limited space
However, this arrangement is not applicable to circumstances. There the two brake discs
support each other, there lies the problem of training a one-sided
applied .Brake disc not available. You could therefore not suggest anything to the person skilled in the art
to create the invention.

An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is in

Embodiment consists of a wheel tire i, a wheel disc 2 and
a hub 3. A brake disk is pressed onto the extended hub 3. The brake disc
is only attached to the inside of the wheel, but otherwise free from the impeller. The brake disc
is designed in a manner known per se as a fan disk. To this end are
arranged on the side facing the impeller ribs 6, which are used for cooling
the brake disc serving air is supplied through openings. The ribs 6 are
on the side facing the impeller with a cantilever from the hub
externally extending disc 8 connected. The brake disc 4, the ribs 6 and the
Disc 8 thus form a rigid whole. The disc 8 is only used
the purpose of stiffening the brake disc and the air duct while the disc
4 alone acts as the actual brake disc.
In the embodiment according to Fig. 3 and the brake disc is not
placed on the hub of the wheel, but directly on the wheel axle, with
the brake disc is screwed to the wheel disc 2 by means of bolts 7.
