Description
Bremse für Kraftfahrzeuge. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Scheibenbremse, bei der zwei seitlich wirkende, auseinanderdrückbare, im übrigen feststehende Bremsscheiben zwischen je zwei mit dem Rad umlaufenden Reibflächen der Trommel angeordnet sind, und daß diese Scheiben einen doppelkeilförmigen Zwischenraum bilden, in dem ein biegsamer, federnder Drahtring oder ein ähnliches Glied zum Spreizen der erstgenannten Ringe benutzt wird, um die Bremsringe mit jedem Flächenelement wirksam zu machen.Brakes for automobiles. Mit der ruhenden Radachse 4 und dem Fahrzeugrahmen verbunden ist eine Scheibe 5 mit Flansch 6, die in das Gehäuseinnere 2 paßt und die beiden Bremsscheiben 7 trägt. Zwei Ansätze 8 in der Form von Kreisringausschnitten am Flansch 6 sorgen dabei für die Sicherung der Bremsscheiben 7 gegen Drehung. Diese sind so gestaltet, daß sie nach außen die beiden Reibflächen 3 bedecken und nach innen einen Hohlraum 9 bilden, der doppelkeilförmigen Querschnitt hat. In diesem Hohlraum 9 liegt ein ringförmig gebogener elastischer Draht io oder ein demselben gleichwertiges Glied, dessen eines Ende i i an den Ansätzen 8 befestigt und dessen anderes Ende mit einem an der Scheibe 5 gelagerten Winkelhebel 12 gelenkig verbunden ist. Beim Drehen desselben mittels des Bremsgestänges bzw, -kabels wird der Durchmesser des Drahtringes io verringert, so daß er die beiden Bremsscheiben durch Einwirkung auf ihre Keilflächen g auseinander- und an die Reibflächen 3 der Bremstrommel drückt, wodurch -das Bremsen des Fahrzeuges erfolgt.
