Description
The invention relates to a novel and particularly advantageous method for bleaching of textiles by treating them with chlorodiOxide developed from alkali chlorite by means of acid.
This so-called sodium chlorite bleach has been used in various specialist areas in recent years the textile bleach applied. A known way of doing this is that Alkali chlorite, especially sodium chlorite, and the one needed to clear the bleaching chlorine dioxide Acid in. A bath to react. Here arise, always or inevitably Excess chlorine dioxide gases, which are extremely harmful to the human organism and therefore must be suctioned off by expensive equipment to avoid damage. Further disadvantages of this known mode of operation are that they are otherwise also relatively is uneconomical, as this releases much more chlorine dioxide than for bleaching Process as such is required that a continuous control of the bleach baths is due their constant change in concentration is impossible and that all these circumstances are continuous Wide bleaching, as it is absolutely necessary for particularly difficult articles, at least considerably make more difficult. Due to all of this, the possible uses of this mode of operation are severely limited and was only able to introduce this to a limited extent.
Durch eine solcheAnother known way of carrying out what is known as sodium chlorite bleaching is there in that the textiles are first impregnated with an alkaline or acidic alkali metal chloride solution and then be steamed. On the other hand is a treatment with acidic alkali metal chlorite solution and then. Steam again with similar ones Disadvantages such as the aforementioned other method of operation, in which alkali chlorite and required to release the chlorine dioxide gas Acid reacted in a bath

.ίο be. On the one hand, there can be losses of bleach do not avoid. On the other hand, the bleach concentration must be kept constant not guaranteed, and finally the bleach bath is subject to a decomposition, which only through working at low temperatures, which in turn impair the wetting of the goods, more or less delayed, but cannot be prevented. .
In the method according to the invention, which itself also involves impregnating the textiles works with an alkali chlorite solution and subsequent steaming, all of the aforementioned come Disadvantages of the known working methods in omission and are also still certain, additional Advantages achieved by the method according to the invention compared to previous working methods make very much superior.
Dieses erfindüngsgemäßeVerfahren besteht darin, daß die Textilien, vorzugsweise unter kontinuier-This inventive method consists in that the textiles, preferably under continuous
In der ersten Phase wird die Ware nur mit so viel Chlorit getränkt, wie nötig ist, um bei dem nachfolgenden Dämpfen mit flüchtigen Säuren den Bleichprozeß schlagartig einsetzen zu lassen."30 Lich work in an unstable condition, initially with soaked in an alkali chlorite solution and then for a short time, generally about 1 to 2 minutes be subjected to the action of acid vapors. In the context of the invention In the process, the bleaching process is carried out in two phases. In the first phase, the Were soaked with only as much chlorite as is necessary in order to be volatile in the subsequent steaming To let acids start the bleaching process suddenly.
This made possible the practically quantitative conversion of chlorite and acid in the goods excludes excess chlorine dioxide development, thus avoiding any of the previous working methods inherent risk of damage to the human organism or makes it costly Extraction devices are superfluous and offer the most efficient use of chemicals imaginable.
When padding the goods with the alkali chlorite solution, perfect wetting and uniformity is essential Impregnation of the goods is possible. There is no loss of bleach at all. the The concentration of the bath remains absolutely constant and a simple addition is sufficient to keep it constant of the level. The sudden activation of the previously inactive bleach in the Damper through the action of acid fumes gives a uniform bleaching effect in a very short time achieve. All these factors allow for the method according to the invention without any difficulty also a continuous work in a broad state and give the goods at the most extensive Save a full heavy grip.
The goods do not need to be subjected to an alkaline decoction beforehand, but rather to be the textiles of the treatment according to the invention expediently without prior alkaline decoction subject.
