Die Manschette 6 ist aus dünnem, flexiblem und isolierendem Kunststoff gebildet und schließt an den äußeren, verdickten Rändern 8 starre Drähte 9 ein. Die Drähte 9 verbiegen sich plastisch, wenn die Manschette 6 um den Verbinder 3 gewunden wird, sichern einen radialen Druck und dichten den Spleiß gegen äußere Einflüsse jeder Art ab.Figure 1 shows, as a first embodiment, two electrical cables 1 and 2, which are connected to other cables (not shown) by means of a crimp connector 3.
