Stand der Technik:State of the art:
Schulranzen moderner Art sind zwar mit Leuchtstreifen ausgerüstet, Grundschulkinder sind aber kleiner als Personenkraftwagen und daher erst vom Autofahrer bemerkbar, wenn sie zwischen parkenden Autos heraus auf der Straße auftauchen. Dann nutzen die Leuchtstreifen auch nichts mehr: Die Zehntel-Sekunden, bis das Kind in die Fahrspur des Autos tritt, reichen nicht mehr aus, um dem Fahrer ein Ausweichmanöver zu ermöglichen, was meist fatale Folgen hat. Die meisten Bürgersteige sind durch parkende Autos für den Autofahrer, bezogen auf Kinder, nicht ausreichend einsehbar.Dies gilt im Stadtbereich oft auch für Zebrastreifen, da der gesetzlich vorgeschriebene Abstand zwischen Parkzone und Zebrastreifen oft nicht mehr eingehalten wird. Das gleiche Problem ergibt sich auch beim Überqueren der Straße, wenn der Verkehr auf der entgegenkommeden Fahrspur steht und sich die Kinder durch die stehenden Autos zur anderen Seite bis zur Straßenmitte bewegen und solange für den Fahrer unsichtbar sind. Die Signalwirkung der Leuchtstreifen auf herkömmlichen Schulranzen ist damit unzureichend. Bei Dunkelheit sind Kinder mit Schulranzen vom Autofahrer besonders von der linken Straßenseite her kaum bemerkbar, da das Abblendlicht so ausgelegt ist, daß die in Fahrtrichtung linke Seite nicht ausgeleuchtet wird.Modern school bags are equipped with luminous strips, but primary school children are smaller than cars and therefore only noticeable to drivers when they appear on the road between parked cars.
