State of the art

Storage containers for dry, loose food, especially grains, pulses, nuts or seeds, are usually not directly connected to a shelf and are nothing more than loose jars, boxes or cans with more or less tightly closing lids. Hanging bags or solid containers with simple removal devices are also used, but these are not connected to a shelf and if too much is removed, the excess can only be refilled into the corresponding container with great difficulty. The filling process itself is correspondingly complex.

Controlling the amount removed is not possible per se with standard containers or in the design examples without a portioning device.

The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the problem of giving such storage containers a fixed place, allowing the bulk goods to be removed with one hand, making the removal quantity controllable, ensuring easy filling of the containers, creating a vermin-proof storage option and at the same time making it possible to reduce the mountain of packaging waste when purchasing such dry, pourable foods.

Each container also has a separate, tight-fitting lid, which allows the removed containers to be used as shopping containers.

A transparent measuring vessel with scales for different types of dry, pourable foods, especially grains, pulses, nuts and seeds, is used to control the removal of bulk goods from non-portioning valves.

For portioning valves, the number of dispensed portions is suitable as a quantity control.

Benefits achieved

The invention ensures that dry, pourable foodstuffs, especially grains, pulses, nuts and seeds, have a fixed, pest-proof, easily accessible place in the kitchen, the bulk goods can be easily removed with one hand and the containers can also be used as shopping containers, which helps reduce packaging waste.

With portioning valves, the amount removed can be easily determined by the number of portions removed; with non-portioning valves, it can be checked using the scales for the filling quantity for various bulk goods on the transparent measuring vessel. By simply turning a valve and container by 180° around the horizontal axis and loosening the container fixation, each container can be easily and quickly removed and filled.

Further development of the invention

Large screw-top jars with "Twistoff" lids have proven to be advantageous containers. These are mounted upside down on the valves with their lids, which have a hole in the middle.

The valves have convenient outlet nozzles to make it easier to locate the outlet opening.

The sliders or twist locks can always be moved to the "closed" or "filling the portion chamber" position by springs, which makes operation simpler.

Protection claims 1. Shelf for storing and dispensing dry, pourable foods. Characterized in that the bulk material is accommodated in containers (1) which are fixed on valves (2) firmly connected to the shelf (3) but are easily removable, and the valves (2/2P/2D) together with the container (1) can be rotated by at least 180° about a horizontal axis (4), and the removal can be carried out either in portions, with portioning valves (2P/2D) or via the valves (2) with a special measuring vessel which has scales for the filling quantity of various bulk materials and is transparent. 2 .Shelf according to protection claim 1, characterized in that the valves close with slides (6) which have a recess (8) on the upper side behind the passage opening (7). 3. Shelf according to protection claim 1, characterized in that the valves (2) are portioning valves (2P) which, when actuated, only release a certain amount of the bulk material and the slides (6P) have a recess (8P) on the upper side in front of the portion chamber (7P). 4. Shelf according to protection claim 1, characterized in that the valves (2D) close with rotary closures (6D) which have or create a passage opening (7D) in one position. 5. Shelf according to protection claim 1, characterized in that the valves (2DP) are equipped with rotary portioners (6DP) which have at least one portion chamber (7DP) on one side and release only a certain amount of the bulk material when actuated.
