The invention relates to a building glass pane body as a glass wall or glass roof with the following features:
A plurality of glass panes are supported by a building support structure, the glass panes are arranged substantially in a plane with a small spacing gap from one another, and fastening means extend through the spacing gaps by means of which the glass panes are attached to the support structure.
One known type of fastening means comprises fastening strips which extend essentially over the entire length of the glass panes they hold. Other known fastening means require holes in the glass panes.
The invention is intended to solve the problem of attaching the glass panes of glass walls or glass roofs in such a way that the glass panes are held securely, no mechanical stresses arise in them, no holes have to be made in them, and the smooth appearance of the glass surface is not impaired optically. According to the invention, the means required for this are simple elements that can be manufactured inexpensively and that can be quickly assembled and disassembled without special tools, without affecting the assembly of the glass panes.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the combination of the features of claim 1.

However, a glass roof can also be designed in the same way. The glass wall consists of a plurality of glass panes 1 and 2, a building support structure 3 and several fastening means 4. The glass panes 1 and 2 can be insulating glass panes as shown in Fig. 1 and 2, each consisting of two glass plates 6 and 7 or 8 and 9 arranged at a distance from one another. The glass panes 1 and 2 can, however, also be simple glass plates 6 and 8 or 7 and 9. Each fastening means contains a pair of clamping plates with an inner clamping plate 10 and an outer clamping plate 12. The two clamping plates 10 and 12 extend over the edge sections 14 and 16 of the two adjacent glass panes 1 and 2 and clamp them between them. Between the clamping plates 10 and 12 and the glass pane edge sections 14 and 16 clamped by them there are elastic intermediate layers 18 and 20 to avoid local mechanical overloading of the glass panes 1 and 2. The two clamping plates 10 and 12 are connected to one another by a clamping element in the form of a clamping screw 22, which extends through the gap 24 between the adjacent glass panes 1 and 2, the edge sections 14 and 16 of which are between the clamping plates

The clamping screw 22 is arranged in the center of the clamping plates 10 and 12, is supported by a screw head 26 on the outer clamping plate 12 and is screwed with its threaded shaft 28 into a thread 30 according to Fig. 2. The spacing gap 24 between the glass panes 1 and 2 extends lengthways to their adjacent edges 32 and 34. In the inner clamping plate 10, on a straight line in the longitudinal direction of the spacing gap 24, there are further threaded holes 36 and 38 before and after the threaded hole 30, which extend through the inner clamping plate 10 and in which spacer screws 40 are located. By turning the spacer screws 40 against the support structure 3, the inner clamping plate 10 can be brought to a certain distance from the support structure 3 and the inner clamping plate 10 can be aligned with respect to the support structure 3 so that the glass panes 1 and 2 are flush with one another and lie against the inner clamping plate 10 or its elastic intermediate layer 18 over their entire surface and thus without tension. The spacer screws 40 thus form continuously adjustable spacer elements that can be continuously screwed out of the inner clamping plate 10 towards the support structure 3 to a greater or lesser extent.
Auf der gleichen geraden Mittellinie der inneren Spannplatte 10, auf welcher sich die Gewindebohrung 30 und die weiteren Gewindebohrungen 36 und 38 befinden, befinden sich auch abgesetzte Durchgangslöcher 42 und 44 mit einem erweiterten Bohrungsabschnitt 45 auf der von der Tragkonstruktion abgewandten Seite der inneren Spannplatte 10 zur Aufnahme je einer Befestigungsschraube 48 mit Kopf 46, deren Gewindeschaft 50 jeOn the same straight center line of the inner clamping plate 10 on which the threaded hole 30 and the other threaded holes 36 and 38 are located, there are also stepped through holes 42 and 44 with an enlarged hole section 45 on the side of the inner clamping plate 10 facing away from the supporting structure for receiving a fastening screw 48 with head 46, the threaded shaft 50 of which
The spacer screws 40 are located on the straight line mentioned between the two fastening screws 48. The clamping screw 28 is located symmetrically between the spacer screws 40, and these are located symmetrically between the fastening screws 48. A modified embodiment, which is not shown, consists in only one spacer screw 40 being provided.
The screw head 26 of the clamping screw 22 is freely accessible from the outside 54 of the building wall according to the drawings. The spacer screws 40 and the fastening screws 50 are also freely accessible through the spacing gap 24 as long as the outer clamping plate 12 has not yet been attached, since they are arranged within the width of the spacing gap 24 according to the drawings.
Dabei halten die Distanzschrauben 40 entgegen der Spannkraft der zwischen ihnen angeordneten Befestigungsschraube 50 die Gleichgewichtsposition der inneren Spannplatte 10.Another modified embodiment of the invention can consist in that two spacer screws 40 are provided as shown in Fig. 2, but the fastening screws 50 are arranged in the longitudinal direction of the gap between the spacer screws 40, instead of outside the spacer screws 40 as shown in Fig. 2. In this modified embodiment, it is sufficient if one fastening screw 50 is used instead of two fastening screws. The spacer screws 40 hold the equilibrium position of the inner clamping plate 10 against the clamping force of the fastening screw 50 arranged between them.
According to a further modified embodiment, which is not shown in the drawings, a fastening screw 50 and a spacer screw 40 can be arranged coaxially one inside the other. In this case, the coaxially located inner screw must be screwed into a lower threaded hole section of the support structure 3 than the outer screw. In this coaxial embodiment, a single spacer screw 40 and a single coaxial fastening screw 50 are sufficient instead of two screws each according to Fig. 2.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2, the spacer screws 40 are so-called grub screws. Their screw head 60 faces the outer spacer plate 12.
According to the front view of Fig. 3, it was assumed here that the glass panes 1 and 2 rest on a cross member 64 of the supporting structure 3.
Jedes dieser Befestigungsmittel 4 besteht entsprechend den Fig. 1 und 2 aus einer inneren Spannplatte 10, einerThe glass facade or the glass roof normally consists of a large number of glass panes 1 and 2, as shown schematically in Fig. 4. The glass panes are arranged in a plane with a small gap 24 between them. Each glass pane 1 and 2 is connected along its gap 24 by at least one, preferably according to Fig. 4 by two fastening means 4 to the adjacent glass pane 1 or 2 and is simultaneously fastened to the supporting structure 3. Each of these fastening means 4 consists according to Figs. 1 and 2 of an inner clamping plate 10, a
Instead of screws, other means for fastening and spacing could also be used, but screws are preferred because they allow for stepless adjustment and are inexpensive.
The shorter the outer clamping plates 12 are in the longitudinal direction of the spacing gap 24, the less they visually disturb the glass surface impression of the glass wall or the glass roof. The invention makes it possible to make the outer clamping plate 12 very short. The glass panes 1 and 2 do not need to be provided with holes or other recesses or steps.
