Abstract

A vacuum cleaner dust bag sleeve is described, wherein a paper bag and a surrounding plastic bag are fitted onto the inwardly acting nozzle of an inlet fitting from the inside of the vacuum cleaner in conjunction with mutually flush apertures via mutually engaged flange and top parts with an integrated closure slide. A further advantage of this embodiment consists in the fact that this dust bag sleeve with the slide 4 and clamping ring 3 can also be used to produce a disposal bag, consisting of polyethylene film or the like. <IMAGE>

Filter bag sleeve for a vacuum cleaner

The innovation relates to a filter bag sleeve for a dirt vacuum cleaner, whereby a paper bag and an enveloping foil bag are attached to the inside nozzle of a dirt vacuum cleaner in connection with aligned openings via dust-tight connecting parts.

The filter bag sleeve according to the innovation is attached to a two-part filter bag arrangement, consisting of a foil bag and a paper bag, and is pushed completely from the inside of the dirt vacuum cleaner onto the inlet acting from the outside, which merges into a nozzle in the interior of the dirt vacuum cleaner.

According to the state of the art, a simple, ring-shaped sleeve was previously provided on the filter bag, which was conical and simply placed on a conical neck. This design had the disadvantage that if the parts were not dimensionally accurate, for example if the filter bag sleeve was dimensionally oversized, it was not possible to ensure secure attachment to the inlet fitting. The third disadvantage of this known sleeve was that the filter bag sleeve could not be closed before the filter bag sleeve was removed from the inlet fitting and if dust that was hazardous to health or toxic dust was sucked into this filter bag,

The second disadvantage of this force-locking design was that high forces had to be applied to attach the sleeve in order to ensure a secure hold on the nozzle. The operational safety was therefore not a result of the design, but dependent on the operator.

The aim of the innovation is therefore to further develop a filter bag sleeve of the type mentioned in such a way that the filter bag is connected to the inlet fitting in a reliable manner and, in addition, contamination of the operator is excluded.

To solve the problem posed, the innovation is characterized by the technical teaching of claim 1.

The key feature of the innovation is that a slider is integrated into the filter bag sleeve, which is designed as a film slider. Before the filter bag sleeve is removed from the inlet fitting, the slider is closed, i.e. it is moved sideways and additionally locks into place in its final position, so that the film slider can no longer open automatically. The filter bag sleeve itself is also designed in such a way that it has an additional catch on the cylindrical part of the inlet fitting. For this purpose, additional locking tongues are designed in such a way that they lock into a groove in the inlet fitting. The filter bag sleeve is therefore snapped into place on the inlet fitting, which has the advantage of creating a positive-locking and thus mechanically secure connection that can still be easily removed manually, with the function of sealing between the inlet fitting and the filter bag sleeve being taken over by an additional sealing ring (O-ring) inserted into a groove on the inlet fitting nozzle.

The film slider is operated manually by pulling it over the opening of the filter bag sleeve like a film closure.

In the following, the innovation is explained in more detail using drawings that merely show one possible implementation. The drawings and their descriptions reveal further key features and advantages of the innovation.

In Figure 1 it can be seen that a head part 7 according to Figure 5 and Figure 6 is glued to the outside of the filter bag 6, which in turn can be covered on its outside by a film slide 4 according to Figure 8. This film slide 4 is guided so as to be displaceable along locking feet 18 on the head part 7, with the guide on the other side being formed by a corresponding surface of a flange part 5.

The flange part 5 and the head part 7 are held together by snap connections.

The flange part 5 has a tubular extension on which two locking lugs 8 are arranged in the inner area, distributed around the circumference, with which the flange part 5 is snapped onto an associated groove in the area of the inlet fitting (not shown).

On the outer circumference, the flange part 5 according to Figure 2 has a groove 12 in which a plastic bag 10 is held. The holding is achieved by a clamping ring 13 engaging in this groove and clamping the plastic bag 10.

This makes it possible to use a plastic bag 10 in addition to the filter bag 6, which is usually made of paper, which ensures dust-free disposal of the filter bag 6.

The clamping between the flange part 5 and the head part 7 is carried out by means of corresponding locking connections, which are described in more detail with reference to Figures 3 to 6.

Figure 4 shows the side view of the flange part 5, where a locking lug 8 is defined, which is highlighted by a corresponding punched-out section.

The head part 7 according to Figures 5 to 6 consists of a pre-bent part, which should adapt as closely as possible to the shape of the flange part 5 in order to ensure that the film slider 4 fits snugly against this leaf-shaped head part 7. The pre-bending also achieves the necessary dust-tightness between the head part 7 and the film slider 4, as well as an inhibiting effect that prevents accidental displacement.

These locking feet have hook-shaped projections which engage in associated recesses 19 in the flange part 5 according to Figure 3.

For assembly, fixing pins 20 as shown in Figure 6 are provided, which engage in corresponding holes 21 in the flange part 5. The guidance of the film slider 4, which is shown in a top view in Figure 7, is now carried out in such a way that it is guided straight between the locking lugs 18, in the direction of the arrow 21a. The film slider 4 thus rests with its lateral edges 22 on the inside of the locking feet 18. A stop 23 is provided here, which prevents the slider from being pulled completely out of the guide between the head part 7 and the flange part 5. These stops 23 strike the locking feet 18 as shown in Figure 5. Two locking cams 24 on the head part 7 then prevent the film slider - once it has been closed - from being pulled open again, thereby ensuring that the stops 23 come to rest in the space between the cam 24 and the respective locking lug 18.

This ensures a secure closure of the filter bag sleeve once the film slide 4 is closed.

The entire filter bag sleeve, consisting of the head part 7, the flange part 5 and the film slide 4, is made of a plastic material that can be optimally glued to the paper material of the filter bag 6.

The positive locking connection of the filter bag sleeve to the inlet fitting ensures a secure fit, which is dust-tight thanks to a seal known per se. In the prior art, only force-locking connections were available, namely conical plug connections or connections via elastomer membranes, whereas now, thanks to the innovation, a positive locking connection is available. This positive locking connection can be relatively easily released when intentionally removed, but offers sufficient security during operation against accidental release due to negative pressure forces and/or tensile forces from the filled filter bag. It is also extremely dust-tight and relatively independent of manufacturing tolerances, with the additional seal in the form of an O-ring providing additional sealing.
