Description
BESCHREIBUNGDESCRIPTION
The invention relates to a device for supplying combustion air and removing flue gases, which is installed in a building and is provided with ducts for removing flue gases and supplying combustion air, these ducts being connected to the outside air.
Combustion plants located in buildings are increasingly required to extract combustion air directly from the outside air, instead of extracting combustion air from the room in which they are located. As a result, so-called closed combustion plants have been developed, which often use a fan to draw combustion air in from outside the building through a supply duct. In most cases, the combustion air drawn in simultaneously displaces the flue gases that are produced, which are then led out of the building again via a separate duct. The disadvantage of the duct for the supply of combustion air running outside the building is that the supply of combustion air outside the building is subject to prevailing weather conditions, particularly with regard to the wind. However, this does not guarantee that the combustion plant will function optimally in all prevailing wind directions and wind speeds. It is even possible that, in the case of a strong wind from a certain direction, the pilot light of the combustion system, for example a gas boiler, is blown out. It can also happen that under certain wind conditions no or insufficient combustion air can be drawn in through the duct. It has been found that protective hoods and the like mounted at the end of the duct for the supply of combustion air do not solve this problem adequately.
For this purpose, a device for the supply of combustion air and for the removal of flue gases of the above-mentioned type is provided, which is characterized in that the channel for the supply of combustion air
Gebäude befindenden Personen geht.is connected to a room in an external area of the building which is connected to the outside air and which is predominantly closed off from the room in the building.
Because the room from which the combustion air for the combustion system is drawn in is located in one of the external walls of the building, the wind conditions outside the building have little to no influence on the behavior of the air in the room. Because such a room is essentially closed off from the room inside the building, there is no danger of combustion air being taken from the room, so that the solution provided by the invention does not come at the expense of the safety of the people in the building.
Such a space in one of the external walls of the building from which the combustion air for the incinerator is taken is, for example, the cavity in a cavity wall or the space located under the external roof covering layer, such as roof tiles or roof tiles, etc. Such spaces are present in most common buildings and can be easily ventilated to the outside air. This is particularly the case with a pitched roof covered with roof tiles.
According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the device is characterized in that in at least one of the outer regions an opening is provided for the passage of at least the channel for the discharge of combustion gases, with a cover with an outwardly projecting tubular part being attached on the outside, through which opening and through which tubular part the channel for the discharge of flue gases runs with a gap, while the channel for the supply of combustion air is located concentrically around the channel for the discharge of flue gases and ends in front of the pipe part end facing away from the boundary, which end seals around the channel.
Such a device can be implemented with relatively little material expenditure and can be used for vertical as well as horizontal and sloping roofs.
Nach einer anderen Ausführungsform, eventuell in der Kombination mit der zuletzt genannten Ausführungsform wird die Vorrichtung dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß über der Öffnungen an der Innenseite der Begrenzung eine Bedeckung angebracht ist, mit einem nach innen hineinragenden rohrförmigen Teil, durch welchen rohrförmigen Teil sowohl der Kanal für die Abfuhr von Rauchgasen als auch der Kanal für die Zufuhr vonAccording to another embodiment, possibly in combination with the last-mentioned embodiment, the device is characterized in that a cover is attached above the openings on the inside of the boundary, with an inwardly projecting tubular part, through which tubular part both the channel for the discharge of smoke gases and the channel for the supply of
Verbrennungsluft verläuft.Combustion air runs.
In dieser Weise kann eine gute Dichtung des Kanals für die ZufuhrIn this way, a good seal of the channel for the supply
Furthermore, a large part of this channel for the supply of combustion air can then be formed by the part of the pipe that protrudes into the building.
Darin zeigen:The invention will be discussed in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings of two preferred embodiments of the present invention. In these drawings:
Figur 1 eine Ansicht im Längsschnitt eines Teils eines Dachs eines Gebäudes mit den Einrichtungen für den Abfuhrkanal von Rauchgasen und für den Zufuhrkanal von Verbrennungsluft für eine sich in dem Gebäude befindende Verbrennungsanlage,Figure 1 is a longitudinal section view of part of a roof of a building with the facilities for the exhaust duct for flue gases and for the supply duct for combustion air for an incineration plant located in the building,
Figure 2 shows an alternative embodiment of the devices shown in Figure 1 in longitudinal section.
Zwischen den Dachziegeln 3 und der Dachschalung 2 befindet sich ein RaumIn Figure 1, the roof sheathing 2 as well as the roof tiles 3 and the roof battens 4 are shown in a sloping roof 1 of a building, which roof battens k hook behind the roof tiles 3 in a known manner. Between the roof tiles 3 and the roof sheathing 2 there is a space
The room 5 is ventilated to the outside air 7 via the roof tiles 3 in such a way that the wind conditions prevailing outside the building have little or no influence on the air movements in the room 5.
Somit wird während des Funktionierens der Verbrennungsanlage Verbrennungsluft in die Richtung der Pfeile A dem Raum 5 entnommen werdenInside the building there is the combustion plant (not shown), to which a channel 8 for the supply of combustion air and a channel 9 for the removal of flue gases are connected. These channels 8 and 9 protrude from the roof 1 through an opening 11 in the roof sheathing 2. Above this opening 11 in the roof 1, a covering 12 with a tubular part 13 protruding from the surface of the roof 1 is attached to the outside of the roof 1, through which opening 11 and tubular part 13 the channel 9 for the removal of flue gases protrudes. The tubular part 13 of this covering 12 is a whole with a roof tile part 14. The channel 8 for the supply of flue gases ends under the end of the tubular part 13 facing away from the roof 1 and in this case is sealed gas-tight at the top. This channel 8 is connected to room 5 via openings I5. Thus, during the operation of the combustion plant, combustion air will be taken from room 5 in the direction of arrows A.
Figure 2 shows an alternative for the design as shown in Figure 1. The opening 11 in the roof sheathing 2 is also covered on the inside 6 of the building by a covering 16 with a tubular part 17 protruding from the plane of the roof 1. The channel 8 shown in Figure 1 for the supply of combustion air can thus be omitted. The combustion air required for the combustion plant is now mostly supplied in the direction of arrows A from the room 5 via the covering part 16, while the flue gases are discharged from the combustion plant to the outside air in the direction of arrows B via the channel 9.
Of course, various variations of the embodiments shown in Figures 1 and 2 are possible. The supply and discharge channels 8 and 9 can also run in all sorts of directions relative to the roof or walls of the building. It is also not essential that the supply and discharge channels are arranged concentrically. It is important that the channel for the supply of combustion air for a combustion system is connected to a room in one of the external walls of the building, such a room being connected to the outside air and being essentially closed off from the room inside the building. Such a room can also be formed by a relatively large plate arranged at a very short distance from a wall of a building on the outside of the building.
