Description

The invention relates to a device that allows by means of the air pressure in the tires of a vehicle automatically sets the required tire pressure maintain.

As is well known, the air pressure must in a vehicle tire at time intervals can be added. But it must also be used when driving at high speeds and Removes excess pressure that occurs under high loads and exceeds the permissible level will. According to the proposal of the invention, you can now add the tire pressure use, by means of a measuring and working cell that can be adjusted to the desired tire pressure a to keep the tire pressure constant. For this purpose is with the measuring and work box a linkage b connected which, when excess pressure occurs, an air outlet valve c opens and when there is insufficient pressure, an electrical contact d closes a circuit, which engages an air pump f by means of an electromagnet e. The pump that is arranged on the wheel body, so only comes into operation at low pressure and is switched off again by the measuring and work socket by opening the same contact. By using an electrical contact and an electrical coupling magnet it is possible that the measuring and working cell rotating with the wheel body does not The rotating clutch magnet controls by moving its switching cams g activates the air pump rotating with the wheel center.
