Description

1877.1877.

Klasse 56.Class 56.

H. STOLZENBERG in BERLIN. Hufeisen.H. STOLZENBERG in BERLIN. Horseshoe.

Pätentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 5. September 1877 ab.Patented in the German Empire on September 5, 1877.

This horseshoe consists of a steel hoop A with notches a into which studs b fit, which can be pulled together under the hoof by means of the oppositely threaded screws at both ends. The studs consist of an upper part of sheet steel, the inner side of which is rough, and which clings precisely to the hoof when the screw is tightened, and a lower part on which the horse runs. The front cleat is designed to be screwed on. All studs can be replaced with new ones when they are worn out, while the steel tire and the screws always remain usable.

With this construction, the shoeing of the horse is spared, and thus also the damage of the hoof, which happens through the nails, bent forward. You can give this iron to the horses when they are in the stable, screw off. The screws lying across the hoof prevent stones etc. in the toe of the horse. Between the hoof and the steel hoof, mainly for the forefeet, a piece of rubber or a thick strip of cloth corresponding to the steel hoop can be placed so that its elasticity makes the animal's rapid paralysis an impossibility. The screws can possibly be provided with a safety device - by going through the steel ring a small pre-set screw is screwed against the thread of the screws.
