Description
Rekuperator mit senkrechten, durch Säulen senkrechter Hohlsteine gebildeten Rekuperatorräumen Zusatz zum Patent 854 943 Gegenstand des Patents 854 943 ist ein Rekuperator für waagerechte Koksöfen, dessen senkrechte Hohlräume durch Säulen senkrechter Hohlsteine gebildet werden. Das wesentliche Merkmal dieses Rekuperators besteht darin, daß jeder Hohlstein eine Mehrzahl von Kanälen ellipsenförmigen Querschnitts enthält und gegen die benachbarten Hohlsteine in den waagerechten Abschlußflächen durch umlaufende Nut und Feder abgedichtet ist. Vorzugsweise erfolgt die Abdichtung der Hohlsteine in oberen und unteren Vorsprüngen oder Randleisten, durch die gleichzeitig ein abwechselnd verengter und erweiterter Querschnitt der Durchflußkanäle der gegenläufig durch den, Rekuperator geführten Medien gegeben ist: Praktische Betriebserfahrungen haben ergeben, daß der Rekuperator nach dem Hauptpatent einen wesentlich höheren Wirkungsgrad in bezug auf den Wärmeaustausch zwischen den gegenläufig geführten Medien, den heißen Abgasen einerseits und den aufzuwärmenden Medien, wie Luft oder Schwachgas, andererseits besitzt als die früher bekannten Rekuperatoren. Außerdem ist auch seine Dichtigkeit gegenüber Gasübertritten aus den unter höherem Druck stehenden Hohlräumen in benachbarte, unter geringerem Druck stehende Räume ungewöhnlich groß. Infolge dieser vorzüglichen Eigenschaften eignet sich der Rekuperator nach dem Hauptpatent nicht nur für waagerechte Koksöfen, sondern erfindungsgemäß ganz allgemein für rekuperativ beheizte Industrieöfen aller Art.
