Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
The present invention includes a method and machine for making glass bottles etc. on the subject.
The method consists in blowing the liquid glass mass by mechanical means Auxiliary means takes place between several templates, which coincide around one with the axis of the object to be shaped Rotate communal axis. The templates first give the object to be manufactured its raw external shape; you can rotated around their own axis during the blow molding process in order to get through them adjusting contours to give the object to be manufactured the final shape. So there are the previously used for the production of such blown hollow glass objects required bi- or multi-part closed Forms in omission.
The method is carried out in such a way that the liquid glass mass is in a container provided with a liftable bottom is introduced, which when it is under the vertical stencils are set, raised and coupled to the stencils whereupon the latter are set into circulation around a common axis. The floor with the Glass mass is then lifted between the rotating stencils until the mass enters the end of the 'pipe introducing the wind current, whereupon the design of the hollow glass object takes place, the outer shape of which is determined by the design of the surrounding stencils; during inflation and when lowering the movable floor, a communal one-time or repeated adjustments of the stencils to their own axis are made to through their here the common axis brought about a changed design compared to the inflated one To give the final shape to the hollow glass object.
When it comes to the manufacture of solid glass objects between the encircling Stencils are involved, the pipe is no longer needed and the glass mass is replaced by the moving bottom of the container pressed between the rotating templates.
Fig. 1 shows the machine in elevation, indicated in essential parts in section. On the column A , the table B (Grundrifs. Fig. 2) is rotatably arranged, in which a number of containers C are inserted, which have a movable base c 1 by lever b 1 , in which another rod independently movable by lever b 2 c 2 is arranged. The templates EE are arranged above the table B in such a way that a container C can be placed directly under them, which, when this position is assumed, is lifted and held in the table by the spring-loaded rod c 4 in such a way that the conical pegs c of Enter the stencil in the same shaped depressions on its surface. The stencils go with their upper pins through a sleeve F, which is mounted in the frame A * protruding laterally from the column A.
Diese Muffe erhält durch die Kegelräder aw α12 von der mit Handrad a2 (oder Riemscheibe) versehenen Welle α durch die Uebersetzungsräder a3 bis α8 Umlaufsbewegung und ist die Uebersetzung eine solche, dafs die SchablonenThis sleeve receives through the bevel gears a w α 12 from the shaft α provided with handwheel a 2 (or pulley) through the transmission wheels a 3 to α 8 and the transmission is such that the templates
mit entsprechend hoher Tourenzahl um eine gemeinschaftliche Axe umlaufen.revolve around a common axis with a correspondingly high number of tours.
The sleeve F is pierced in the middle by the pipe G, which is rotated by the bevel gears a 10 a 11 . On the pipe G sits the sleeve H, which is held by a ring h and the lever i ; A small cross-beam protrudes from this sleeve, the pin h 1 of which protrudes into the screw-shaped groove h 2 of the template pin. By adjusting the height of the sleeve H , the templates are slightly adjusted about their own axis, so that differently designed contours of the template are set opposite the common central axis.
Fig. ι und in den Querschnitten Fig. 3 bis 6 nach den Linien 3-3, 4-4, 5-5, 6-6 der Fig. 1 dargestellt. The different contours of the templates, for example for bottle formation, are in the View of the same. Fig. Ι and in the cross sections FIGS. 3 to 6 are shown along lines 3-3, 4-4, 5-5, 6-6 of FIG.
These contours ee 1 e 2 of the templates are of course designed depending on the shape of the object to be produced.
To generate the wind pressure to be introduced into the glass mass by the pipe, fan a 9 is arranged on shaft a 1, which directs the wind current to the pipe through the channel provided in part A 2 "of the frame.
The wind power can of course also be generated outside the machine and into the same be initiated.
Fig. 2 zeigt den Gruridrifs des Tisches B mit den vier Behältern C. Der von der Säule A abstehende Arm D erstreckt sich über den jeweilig zu füllenden Behälter C. Die Fig. 8 und 9 zeigen Längsschnitte und Fig. 10 und 11 Querschnitte der Pfeife G. Fig. 2 shows the gruridrif of the table B with the four containers C. The arm D projecting from the column A extends over the respective container C to be filled. FIGS. 8 and 9 show longitudinal sections and FIGS. 10 and 11 cross sections of the pipe G.
The process of production with the machine results from the description of the same and with reference to the method specified at the beginning of the description.
It should only be mentioned that after the filled container has been moved under the templates, the worker first lifts the movable floor using levers b 1 and b 2 (see also Fig. 7) in order to place the glass mass between the rotating templates, which allow the mass to move in prevent inserting into the pipe end. With increasing design of the bottle, the bottom is lowered, which is relieved by weight loading and limited by the hitch b 3 on the tab b , whereupon the template position is changed by lever i , and is finally activated by lifting the rod c 2 by means of lever b- the indentation made in the bottom of the bottle. If hollow glass objects are to be produced without using the blow molding process, the pipe G is replaced by an appropriately designed mandrel.
