Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Schutzband für elastische Reifen der Räder von Fahrrädern oder Wagen und besteht darin, dafs an die Laufseite solcher Rädreifen ein besonders gestaltetes, nachstehend beschriebenes Gummiband in Verbindung mit einem Metallring zum Schütze des elastischen Materials des Reifens gegen Durchlochung oder andere Beschädigung angebracht wird. Hierdurch wird erreicht, dafs einestheils der Druck über einen grofsen Theil des Umfanges vertheilt wird, während andereritheils nur eine verhältnifsmäfsig kleine Lauffläche mit dem Boden in Berührung steht, und diese Lauffläche derart ausgebildet ist, dafs nur wenig oder gar keine Neigung zum Gleiten eintritt.The present invention relates to a protective tape for elastic tires of the wheels of Bicycles or carriages and consists in that on the running side of such wheel tires specially designed rubber band described below in connection with a metal ring to protect the elastic material of the tire against punctures or other damage is attached.
