For this purpose, the following display means are provided according to the invention : a) a round end disc with grace division that turns once to the left during a sidereal day on the circumference, b) a concentrically arranged arcing ring that rotates in the direction of rotation the earth's disk rotates once during a solar year and with a solar time scale and with a fixed date hand is provided on it, c) a fixed date hand, likewise to the nund end disk concentric display ring with a minute scale, two different sidereal time scales and two different date scales, d) one minute hand each for sidereal time and one for solar time, e) a foldable one Cover slip with a representation of the starry sky.
In the drawing, omitting the cover glass, a display device according to the invention is shown.
Diese 24 Pfeilzeiger der linkslauf enden Erdkarte geben jeweiligThe circular, flat map of the world a with the north pole as the center and with the 24-hour longitudes as entered radii, reaching down to the southern ends of the mainland at about 60 ° south latitude, makes in the center of the clock face as a world hour hand disc, According to the Copernican view of the world, in 24 hours of sidereal time, one revolution from west to east. The 24 hour longitudes of the earth map are counted from Greenwich to the entered date line depending on + West and - East hourly and with degrees, as usual. They run out at the edge in arrowheads. These 24 arrow pointers on the left-facing map of the world indicate
die Zonenzeit der einzelnen Stunden-Längengrade an: in Sternzeit auf dem Sternzeit-Stundenring c, in mittlerer Sonnenzelt auf deim Sonnenzeit-Stundeniring b. the zone time of the individual hours of longitude: in sidereal time on the sidereal time hour ring c, in the central solar tent on the sun time hour ring b.
The starry sky is fixed on the cover glass of the clock, which can be opened upwards in the hinge, above the earth cactus α rotating to the left underneath in the same figure with the north pole as the center and with the 24 main degrees of longitude as radii up to about 60 ° south latitude. The drawing on the inside of the cover glass gives the view of the sky from the earth, the outside view of the cover glass the opposite view. In particular, the Milky Way is significantly highlighted. Position of the starry sky on the closed cover glass of the clock: the longitude of the winter solstice points from the center (the north pole) in a south direction to the upper edge of the clock face. This fixed basic position of the starry sky on the cover glass, aligned with the winter solstice, is given its classification for watch use on a fixed sidereal time hour ring c, which forms the edge of the UTir dial and which therefore lies against the edge of the cover glass.
On the outer edge of this fixed sidereal time hour ring c runs, starting at the top and counting to the left from 5 to 5 minutes, the 60 minute division for the two minute hands of the clock running counterclockwise, which apply to all zone times together . The sidereal time minute hand ^ 1 is marked by a star level with the sidereal time hour ring c , the solar time minute hand d. 2 by the sun sign Θ at the level of the solar time hour ring b.
Within the minute division, on the fixed sidereal hour ring c, the usual sidereal 24 hours runs to the left in small Roman numerals: the division of the starry sky of the cover glass, starting with o ft = XXIV ft for the longitude of the vernal equinox. Above (at the longitude of the winter solstice): XVIIP. Then follows a second sidereal 24-hour division of the starry sky of the cover glass, which shows XII * at the top (at the longitude of the winter solstice) inwards on the fixed sidereal time hour ring c in larger Roman numerals running around to the left. This means: 1. In this sidereal time, which is also introduced here for teaching purposes, the winter solstice is the main direction on the fixed starry sky instead of the transverse spring point; 2. Just as in the solar time today for every place on earth the sun in the south with 12 o'clock denotes the center of the local solar day, so also in this second sidereal time of the clock added here the winter solstice in the south unit XIP represents the center of the local sidereal day .
The fixed sidereal time hour ring c is closed at the inner edge by the date series of the year running to the left, as it is assigned to the sidereal time for the daily position of the sun in the course of the earth's year. In our current Gregorian calendar year, as it has been developed step by step in the West over the millennia, the registered January i as New Year is 10 days after the winter solstice, and the civil Gregorian year follows to the left with the known month lengths . The individual 365 or 366 days of the solar year are assigned to the 24 hours of sidereal time on the clock (only subsequently combined to form the twelve Gregorian calendar months), according to the unevenly progressing position of the sun: from the winter solstice to the vernal equinox there are around 89 days , from there to the summer solstice around 93 days, from there to the autumn point the same n and 93 days, from there to the winter solstice around 90 days.
If one sets the beginning of the solar year as ι. January to the day of the winter solstice and if one then summarizes the solar days of two sidereal hours consecutively as 1 month each, then one obtains a winter solstice year, as it is on the inner edge of the fixed sidereal hour ring c of the clock for teaching purposes as the second series of dates of the solar year is entered: January with 29 days, February and March with 30 days each, April to September with 31 days each, October to December with 30 days each.
Die Pfeilspitze trifft als Datumzeiger im ruckweisen Vorbeigleiten des Sonnenrings b jeweils einen mittleren Greenwich-Sonnentag durch die Mitte jedes Tages in der Datumreihe am inneren Rand des feststehenden Sternzeit-Stundenrings c und gibt damit die jeweilige Stellung der Sonne am Sternenhimmel an.Along this date series on the inner edge of the fixed sidereal time hour ring c rotates to the left, with an adapted drive train, advancing 1 day after every 24 hours of sunshine and thus revolving once in a circle in a solar year, as a sun ring the solar time hour ring b. On it the 24 hours of the mean sunny day are entered in Arabic numerals to the left in an even division. Subdivision of these hours on the inner edge of the sun ring b as usual into 4 parts each (quarter of an hour), with further subdivision of each quarter of an hour into 3rd parts = 5 minutes each. One half of the sun ring b. (from 6 p.m. to midnight after 6 a.m.) is tinted darker as usual as the night half (. The number of hours 12 of the sun ring b , which indicates the mean position of the sun, is indicated by a sun symbol Θ below with an angled up to the outer edge of the sun ring b arrow highlighted. the arrowhead applies as date hand in the jerky to slide past the solar ring a Greenwich mean solar day b respectively through the middle of each day in the date order on the inner edge of the fixed sidereal hours ring c and are thus to the respective position of the sun in the night sky.
