Description

The invention relates to a two-stroke diesel engine with one of their self-powered cleaning fan designed as a centrifugal fan.

In addition to the purpose of displacing the residual gases from the cylinder, the purge air also has the task of cooling the cylinder from the inside. Until now, ice was usually used for flushing about 1.3 bds 1.6 times the stroke volume. to convey air through the cylinder. It has now been shown that it is advantageous to reduce the amount of scavenging air as the load decreases. A reduction in the amount of flushing air with decreasing load reduces the blower output and thus improves the fuel consumption of the machine. In addition, if the machine is operated for a long period of time with a light load; warmer. This prevents the machine from falling into a hard gear if it is operated for a long time with a low load. The wear and tear on the machine is also reduced: because harmful condensates, e.g. B. in high-sulfur fuels, do not occur. The disadvantage of oiling the exhaust pipe at low loads is also avoided, because the exhaust gases are hotter at low loads. The invention therefore consists in the arrangement of a. Throttle valve in the suction line of the centrifugal blower, which is actuated depending on the load on the machine, in such a way that it ben a reduction in the load - reduces the free cross section of the suction line and increases it with an increase in the load. The invention is particularly simple if the element for adjusting the throttle valve is connected to the element for adjusting the fuel injection quantity on the fuel injection pump.

In the drawing is an embodiment of the invention on a two-stroke diesel engine for example schematically (shown.

The two-stroke diesel engine has a cylinder i, which is partly in Section is drawn. It can therefore be seen that the piston 2 is in: se, ineim is located bottom dead center, in which he the scavenging slots 3 and the exhaust ports 4 releases. The purge air is conveyed by one of the diesel engine itself driven centrifugal blower 10 5. In the suction line 6 of the centrifugal blower 5 a throttle valve 7 is arranged, the adjusting lever 8. rides to the organ Adjustment of the fuel injected quantity, the control rod 9 of the fuel injection pump io, is coupled. The fuel injection pump io promotes the fuel a pressure line i i and 'a fuel injector 13 in the cylinder i the Diesel engine. The adjusting lever 8 of the Droisse11dappe 7 is with the control rod 9 connected in the sense that the Droisselklappu 7 serve the free cross section of the suction line 6 the Sehlen @ dergeibdäs @ cs. 5 reduced when using the control rod io the Fuel injection amount is decreased. A reduction in the fuel injection volume corresponds to a shift in the control rod 9 to the left. Becomes the control line g shifted to the right, while increasing the fuel injection amount the free cross section of the suction line 6 through the Droissel flap 7 is enlarged. The displacement of the control rod 9 of the fuels @ injection pump io can be known in Way done by hand through some regulator.
