A method of uniformly dyeing cellulosic fibers with vat and sulfur dyes and such for removing stains addition to Patent 874757 The patent 874,757 relates to a process for evenly dyeing cellulose-containing fibers with vat and sulfur dyes and such for removing stains, which is characterized, that small amounts of condensation compounds are added to the dyebath or the blind vat, which are obtained by treating high molecular weight polyalkylene polyamines which are free from hydroxyl groups with alkylating agents which are likewise free from hydroxyl groups and which contain at least two alkylating groups in the molecule. Such condensation products presumably contain the group several times which arise in the conversion reaction mentioned, for example when using ethylene chloride according to the following scheme: It has now been found that small amounts of condensation products obtained by reacting the same starting material, namely the polyalkylene polyamines with low molecular weight saturated or unsaturated aliphatic aldehydes having at least 2 carbon atoms, can also be used with the same success.
Die vorliegenden Reaktionsprodukte enthalten der obigen Gruppierung
analoge Gruppen
The present reaction products contain groups analogous to the above grouping which arise when using acetaldehyde according to the following scheme EXAMPLE i To a solution of 45 parts of a polyethylene polyamine mixture kept at 5 to 10 °, from which the portions passing over at 10 mm pressure to 220 ° were previously removed, in about 100 parts of methanol, a solution, likewise cooled to 5 to 10 °, is slowly added of 40 parts of acetaldehyde in about 100 parts of methanol flow in and at the same time ensures, by external cooling, that the reaction temperature remains between 5 ° and 15 °. After about 3 hours of stirring, the mixture is stirred for a further 12 hours at 20 ° to 30 °, then steam is passed in until the volatile constituents have distilled off, and the solution is then evaporated to 450 parts. The brown-colored solution, which thus contains 10% of the starting product, is already in a small amount, e.g. B. i to 1.6 g per liter of liquor added to the dye bath, suitable for achieving uniform colorations of vat and sulfur dyes.
gelöst in etwa 5o Teilen Methanol, zufließen.
