The invention relates to a sash lock for casement windows, consisting of a bearing block which can be attached to the window frame and has a handle which is pivotably mounted therein, which is provided with a sash spur near its pivot axis and which consists of a sash frame-fastenable hinge, a sliding bolt and a stop on which the sash spur can be pivoted.

Latch locks of this type are well known. In particular, with windows whose sash is made up of hollow plastic profiles, there is a risk that the window sash can be forced open with a scissor-knife because the sash profile, which is thin in its outer diameter , is bent when the window is pried open and the latch in the closed position slips sideways off the locking plate.

The object of the invention is to create a cam lock for casement windows, which makes it more difficult to break open a casement window locked by means of a cam lock.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that a projection is arranged on the plateau of the shooting plate and a groove receiving the projection is arranged in the side of the cam spur running onto the shooting plate.

With such a cam lock, the window cannot be broken open because even if the stop bar of the ^sash frame profile is bent, the cam spur cannot slip sideways off the cutting plate, but the

The projection is advantageously mushroom-shaped and the cap is undercut to ensure a positive fit in accordance with the shape of this projection. In this way, when the sash bolt is pushed into the closed position, a positive connection is created with the projection on the locking plate, which further makes it more difficult to break open the window sash.

The arrangement of the bolt and the projection engaging therein cannot be kinematically interchanged because a projection on the leading side of the cam spur would move the inner side edge of the window sash when the window is closed. If such a projection can be pushed out and retracted _{as a} spur, the projection can be pushed out after the window is closed, thus creating a lock between the cam spur and the locking plate, and the projection can be retracted before the cam spur is opened. A corresponding cam lock is characterized in that a recess for receiving a locking pin is arranged in the plateau of the locking plate, and a device for moving and retracting a locking pin is arranged in the cam spur. In particular, the locking pin can be pushed into the locking position by means of a locking cylinder and, after opening the locking cylinder by means of a key, the locking pin can be moved back into the opening position so that the sash spur can then be pivoted into the opening position.

Handle 4, which is provided with a cam spur 5 near its pivot axis 6 and a locking plate 6 attached to the sash frame with a ramp 16 and a plateau 17 onto which the cam spur 5 is pushed. The handle 4 with its cam spur 5 is therefore in the closed position. To open the window, the handle 4 must be pivoted by ^Q 0° to the left so that it is horizontal while the cam spur 5 points vertically downwards. In this position, the window sash 2 can be opened.

As shown in Fig. 2, the frame profile of the window sash 2 is made of a hollow plastic profile. To attach the strike plate 8, a hole 10 is arranged in the stop bar of the sash frame, into which a pipe socket 9 of the strike plate 8 is inserted. The strike plate 8 is attached to the sash frame 2 by means of a screw bolt 11, which is provided with a collar 13 and a nut 15, which is supported on the opposite side of the stop side. the plateau 17 of the cutting plate 8 is provided with a head 14 which protrudes from the plateau 17 and which engages in a substantially dovetail-shaped groove 19 of the cam follower 5. In the head 12 of the screw bolt 11 there is a cross-head 14 for screwing the screw bolt 11 into the nut 15. When screwing in, the nut 15, which is slightly conical on the outside, is drawn into the hollow profile and clamps itself there. The ring-shaped flange 13 of the screw bolt 11 lies in a flat recess in the locking plate 8.

As shown in Fig. 1, the groove 19 extends only so far that the cam spur 5 reaches a correct closed position. The end of the dovetail-shaped groove 19 can serve as a stop for the correct closed position of the cam spur 5.

As Fig. 1 shows, the groove 19 becomes wider towards the slightly beveled leading edge 18.

2Q As shown in Fig. 1 and 3, the ramp 16 rises steadily from the top and bottom edge of the locking plate 8 to the plateau 17. The locking plate 8 is made of a plastic with good sliding properties and high abrasion resistance.

With the aid of a locking pin 21, it can be extended and retracted. In the closed position of the cam spur 5, the locking pin 21 can engage in a recess 22 in the cutting plate 8*. The locking plate 6*, which is made of plastic, is provided with a steel reinforcement 23 which is screwed to the casement frame 2 together with the locking plate ⁸¹ by means of a fastening screw 25. Pins 26 serve to prevent the cutting plate ⁸¹ from twisting. The reinforcement 23, which is made of sheet steel, is folded upwards near the outer edge of the locking plate ⁸¹ .

The device for pushing and pulling back the locking pin 21 is a cylinder lock 20 which can be brought into an open position by means of a key, in which the locking pin 21 is retracted and which, after pivoting the handle 4 and the sash spur 5 into the closed position, can be brought into a closed position by means of the key, in which the locking pin 21 protrudes into the recess 22 of the firing plate 8'. With the help of this locking cylinder 20, the sash lock can be locked in the closed position so that it cannot be opened. Only when the locking cylinder 20 is turned into the open position with the help of a key and the locking pin is thus retracted again can the sash spur 5 be moved into the open position.
