Description
The invention relates to a method and a device for the electrolytic regeneration of used fixing baths.
Bei Großbetrieben hat sich als beste und rentabelste Rückgewinnungsart dieIt is known that the photographic silver halide layers are only about Vs for construction serve the image. The remaining part of the silver-containing emulsion is made up by the sodium thiosulfate solution of the fixers and made the picture durable. With long use of the fixer, this is so enriched with silver that it is not suitable for further use is more useful and needs to be replaced by a new bathroom. That in the used fixer silver "has always been recovered in various ways, either by chemical precipitation of silver using sodium sulphide or zinc. There are also from the Relevant firms have put special precipitants on the market, which are more convenient and aim to achieve more complete precipitation. All of these methods have certain disadvantages, which will not be dealt with in more detail here, but which mean that many smaller photo companies start to recycle the used ones Do not use fixers at all. The resulting losses of silver are economic not insignificant. In large companies, the best and most profitable type of recovery has been
Versuche des ErfindersElectrolytic regeneration of the fixer baths proven. However, such a system is only worthwhile for institutions with high sales of fixer. In such systems -will- - with standing Electrodes and very rapidly moving electrolytes worked, d. H. the fixer to be processed was at great speed on the stainless steel cathodes and the anodes off Graphite moving past. Attempts by the inventor
However, by either method it is impossible to do everything Remove silver from the baths. This is then also not necessary if this has to be
Dies lohnt sich jedoch nur dort, wo der Transport nicht zu weit ist..15 working fixer in constant circulation, from the fixer to the regeneration system and back there. - There is always enough silver removed to make the fixer usable and thus recovered practically all of the silver. But the situation is different when constant circulation is not possible for operational reasons. The fixers such Photo companies are now being picked up by corresponding companies that are exclusively deal with the reconditioning of used fixers. However, this is only worth it where the transport is not too far.
The present invention is a method in which both the electrolyte as also the electrodes can be moved quickly and a transportable regeneration system. Become beneficial this rapidly moving anodes designed as a stirrer, which the electrolyte very quickly to the Lead by fixed cathodes, ideally in round vessels. This definitely becomes a .satisfactory yield of silver achieved; the fixers can be used as required Filtration must be used over and over again. All that is required is the addition of the acidic component of the fixer, if this is caused by the addition of alkali from the developer solutions should be blunted, but this is mainly due to the interposition of a breaker Potassium metabisulfite, can be avoided. Such a system can be of any size, too coordinate the smallest operation.
