Es ist bekannt, daß die Festigkeitseigenschaften solcher Körper durch Verdichten unter hohem Druck wesentlich gesteigert werden können. Auf diesem Weg werden z. B. das hochvergütete Buchenschichtholz, die Hartgewebeplatten, die Hartfaserplatten und Kunstholzplatten hergestellt.
