Description

For hardening objects, it is known to induce this on To warm up and then ahzusohrecken. For this purpose one has the object exposed to the field of an induction coil and, after annealing, the object in a. Bad promotes.

The invention shows another way of achieving quenching of the annealed article. According to the invention, a hollow body made of insulating material is used to isolate the individual turns from one another and this is provided with injection openings. If the product is to be quenched, water, oil or another liquid is pressed through the body. It is known per se to design the winding of the induction coil itself as a hollow body and to provide it with injection openings. The use of such hollow bodies is expensive, however, and they cannot be cooled during the annealing process, unless there are cumbersome devices which close the injection openings during the annealing process. By using the invention, on the other hand, when a waveguide is used, cooling of the same during the annealing process is readily possible, see above. that the expensive waveguide can be used well. An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. With i the glow coil is referred to, which consists of hollow copper, through the cavity of which water or 01 is passed. The body 2 to be treated is located inside the coil. The windings are insulated from one another by a compressed hose 3 made of insulating material, which has injection openings4. After annealing, water or oil is sprayed onto the material through these spray openings. If the length of the glow coil is greater, it is advisable to introduce the liquid into the hollow body not on one side, but at the top and bottom, in order to achieve rapid cooling of the material , Slots serve.
