Transformator mit einem die Wicklung im wesentlichen umgebenden Hochfrequenzeisenkern, bei der bzw. dem die Wicklung aus mindestens drei in Reihe geschalteten und auf dem Kern nebeneinander angeordneten Teilwicklungen besteht. Es ist nahehegend und in den meisten Fällen am einfachsten und am günstigsten, die Wicklungsabschnitte in der gleichen Reihenfolge, in der sie auf dem Kern angeordnet sind, in Reihe zu schalten. Es -wurde jedoch gefunden, daß auch in dem Kern erhebliche Verluste auftreten können. Zur Verringerung dieser Verluste wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, das Ende der einen äußeren Teilwicklung mit dem Anfang der anderen äußeren Teilwicklung und das Ende dieser Teilwicklung mit dem Anfang der mittleren Teilwicklung zu verbinden, während der Anfang der zuerst genannten äußeren und das Ende der mittleren Teilwicklung die Spulenzuführungen sind.
